So I saw that dance post, and I agree that it would benefit anyone to get better at dancing. But here is a fun dance game you can try that works well even you or your partner are not particularly good at dancing.

It's called the Mirror Dance, and I actually learned it from watching Jason Mraz videos years ago. Here is a video of him doing the mirror dance with one of his buddies on stage.

Basically, you tell your partner to do the same thing you're doing, and if you do it right it looks like your dancing in front of a mirror.

Mraz and his friend were actually both leading, which is a more challenging variation. You don't have to be that good though. You can declare yourself the leader, and it can be as easy or as difficult as you want it to be.

You can make up whatever you moves you want and it doesn't matter if it looks stupid because she's going to look stupid too, or she's not playing the game. You take the lead and she follows. You can surprise her. You can show off and try a move you bet she can't do. You can make her laugh by doing something ridiculous.

You can steal moves from all those silly dances that white people love — the sprinkler, the shopping cart, the twist, the swimmer, the peace sign across the eyes, the saturday night fever, the macarena, the ymca, the chicken dance, etc.

This is more fun than sexy, but you could probably use it as a way to transition into something sexier, by moving closer, and then doing moves where you're touching, and then just transitioning into normal dancing.

The mirror dance game would probably be the most powerful if your in one of those situations where nobody is dancing yet because everyone's afraid to be the first one out there, and then you take your girl onto the dance floor and break the dancing ice by teaching her the mirror dance and making all the other women around you wish that they had a guy who could show a girl a good time like you can.
