Last week, I went out on a date with an HB6 (dinner and a movie- I'm old-fashioned and still working on getting BP shit out of my system) that led quickly to hooking up in the back of a theater. This was only my second time doing this kind of thing, so by all blue pill standards I should've been nervous and tripping over myself. Want to know what helped me avoid that? You'll never guess.
I read the fucking sidebar.
Plot twist! Except it isn't. This is another case of some really basic Red Pill principles, along with good frame and a dash of confidence, setting a man up for success.
Step 1: Don't Pay For Shit
Without giving away too much, I live in a place where everything is expensive. You want to know what's even more expensive? Letting your blue-pill conditioning convince you that it's your responsibility to buy girls shit in exchange for sex or attention. As we paid for the movie tickets, and before we got food, I made it clear that we were splitting the bill. She, as a Strong Independent Woman^TM , had absolutely no problem with this- something that she made very clear when we started making out. If she's attracted to you, and you handle her confidently, you can't go wrong even if you don't meet her expectation of being treated like a princess.
Step 2: Always Assume Attraction
This contributes to your confidence, and allows you to handle shit tests a lot more easily. If you tell yourself that you aren't sure what she thinks of you, your hamster is going to get all up in your grill and throw your frame way off. If you tell yourself that she's not attracted to you, you're already fucked. Your perspective means everything. Probably the toughest moment of the night for me was when she saw me checking her out, and without much of a smile on her face, said, "Can I help you?"
Oh, fuck.
Now this is the moment where, in my blue pill days, my hamster and I would've both shat ourselves, and I would've tried furiously to backpedal. After all, I'd just been caught checking her out- she must think I'm objectifying her! Do you know what my critical mistake would have been in that case? I would've stopped assuming attraction, and done the polar opposite- let myself think that she wasn't interested, and just been a chivalrous and respectful White Knight who doesn't try anything that might upset Her Highness.
But wait! There's TRP!
I shake off that fear and worry for a quick second and remind myself of an incredibly important fact: I don't really give a fuck what happens. I process all the anxiety, all the hamstering, and all the blue pill conditioning for a split second, then I put that shit on the back burner. I respond with, "Yeah, maybe you can," and just a hint of a smirk, then keep walking to the theater like nothing ever happened. We get into the theater, I start escalating, and the rest is history. That brings me to my next point...
Step 3: Always Be Escalating
This is a simple one. Think about what you want from the girl you're out with and start taking the steps that lead up to it, always teasing her and building attraction. This where being confident and assuming attraction really come in handy- if you're sure of yourself, and sure that she wants what you've got, you can dispel a lot of the fear around escalation, and it'll start to come easily.
For those of you that are worried about rape or sexual assault/harassment allegations, which is perfectly reasonable after the #MeToo moment, "Do you like that?" is always good for confirming 'consent at every stage,' which is becoming the cultural and legal norm in lots of the Western world. Make it sound sexual and you'll kill two birds with one stone- make sure she's still consenting AND turn her on even more.
Each and Every Motherfucking Step: Be Confident!
Now we're back to the title of the post, and the theme that you probably noticed in each one of my last three points. I stand by my advice on all three of those subjects, but without confidence, these useful tidbits of advice are just that- notes on a Reddit article that won't get you anywhere. Confidence helped me greatly in this hookup, and it's done the same for countless men in countless hookups for the duration of human history. Confidence, though, will not just get you laid- it will get you ahead in every aspect of life. Confidence helps you build your friendships, perform well in jobs, and advocate for yourself just about anywhere you go, in a world where allowing yourself to be walked over is the norm. Want to make more money, pick up more girls, and grow in every facet of your life? Get some fucking confidence.
Now I know what you're thinking- "This sounds great, TopNotch_Fuckery, but how do I actually get confidence?" I'm so glad you asked. There are two parts to building confidence- improving yourself and internalizing your self-worth. The former obviously means doing things that make you a better person. This is everything TRP has been telling men to do for years now: lift, succeed in school/work/whatever is setting you up for financial success, read some quality nonfiction, and put yourself in social situations, especially ones where you can practice approaching girls. When you're a genuinely stronger, smarter, more social, and overall better person, it's only natural that you'll start to feel those effects. In addition, everyone around you is going to start noticing that you're in great shape, know your shit, and don't let anything they say faze you.
When you work from here, internalizing the confidence you've earned is simple- all you have to do is start telling yourself what everyone else is telling you, and believing it. Mindfulness and awareness are hugely useful here, and meditation definitely comes in handy when it comes to convincing yourself of how goddamn great you are. The mistake people make here is when they believe this, but lose sight of the fact that they still need to improve. Don't confuse confidence with complacency, and always strive to make yourself a better man. The fact of the matter is that, although false confidence can help in the short term to a degree, and validation from others can always be a nice hit of dopamine, genuine confidence is something that you spend a lifetime earning from yourself.
