Hi everyone.

I'm relatively new to TRP. I've been lurking for a few months now as I try to make sense of what has happened to my marriage of 7 years (together 14 years) and how quickly she could turn her back on it all.

This post is not to dwell on the "why" but on what I've seen in the field since my world has collapsed and I've in effect been forced to take TRP. Long story short, my marriage is over, and part of self medicating has been to enjoy the fruits of being single.

(Side Note: I realize based on the above many will say I'm not truly following TRP, but with lots of self analysis, I've been more or less a follower of TRP my entire life with the very important exception of within my marriage. I don't feel it's worth bringing the justifications up as it's outside the scope of this post).

So, with the context set, I've been enjoying working on myself, lifting, resetting my wardrobe, etc... With that, I've had much more than a few opportunities to enjoy the single life. Given my age (mid-40's), my target audience is unfortunately women that have some baggage in some form (ex's/kids/etc).

Here's the thing, pre/mid/post act, they all basically say the same things to me:

1) "It's been so long" (probably true, there is a lack of quality men out there, which is why TRP pays off so well, it basically teaches you to be a quality man).

2) "I'm not normally like this" / "This isn't like me" / "I've never done something like this before" / all while sleeping with me within hours of meeting for the first time.

I don't really know what to draw from this beyond they're all trying to sell me the same story. They're appealing to my male ego (I'm special and the only guy that has brought this out in them), and to downplay that although her and I are sleeping together after just meeting, that this is not normal for her.

TL;DR AWALT. Women have a narrative that's important for them to sell to the world at large. A narrative that paints them as moral, discerning women who don't sleep around (except with you, because you're their special unicorn). Beware...it's a trap.
