It seems to me that the "unifying theory" of RP is frame.

The general thinking is that men have to "hold frame" whenever we're interacting with women, and that when we don't hold frame we've lost much of our advantage.

I believe this is true not just with men-women interactions but with interpersonal interactions in general. When you lose frame with your buddy, or your colleague at work, or worse an enemy, you give them the upper hand. It means you've been rattled, and they were the ones who rattled you. You may be able to recover, but your starting from a lower point by then. You don't neccessarily have to be a stoic, uncaring guy, but at all times you should hold frame.

Also, if "frame" is supposed to be the outward face we show the world, then much of self-improvement seems to be geared towards having the best frame possible. The reason why we maintain fitness, improve financial standing, increase intelligence/knowledge, etc, is so that our frame isn't fake, but so that it is based on us being men, solid inside and out.
