Gamification: Flow
There are four different kind of players in this world. Killers, Socializers, Achievers and Explorers.
Killers(<1%)
These players are always trying to interfere with how the Game works. There focus is also ruining the play experience of other players.
Achievers(~10%)
Achievers are people that are playing by the rules and gain status by beating the challenges of the game.
Explorers(~10%)
People want to discover how the game works. How is the system functioning.
Socializers(~80%)
Players that want to have relationships with other players. They also love to tell stories.

As you can see:
Socializer wants to interact with players.
Killers want to act on players.
Explorers wants to interacting with the world.
Achievers wants to act on the world.
Killers+Achiever are more interested in acting on things or people. They see most things and people as external objects.
Explorers+Socializers are more intersted in deeper levels of interacting with people and things.
Killers+socializers seem to be eager to have the opporunity to be able to choose how to play with other people.
Achievers+Explorers are interested in how they have control on the game mechanics.
What can you learn from this?
There are different people in the world. Most people are socializers. They want to interact with other people. Only a few are really achievers or explorers. Most of the time it is a combinations of these 4 players types. I would say try to get balanced.
Remember that not everything is black and white
I think most of TRP are explorers. That have a little bit of socializers and achievers.
ps. Sorry for the bad english.
