Having been raised Mormon, I had this same reversal of perspective a while back. I think most guys here already understand what you're saying but I think it's a great point to be made.

Btw, what's your take on caffeine? You mentioned caff addicts negatively so I'm curious. Never associated it with BS if kept in moderation. And do you take a pre workout?

I agree with your 12 step program comment. You can't trust yourself because you are defined by that drug so you have to trust in a higher power which is a "role model" to strive for. Once you realize that you are your own role model and you start believing in yourself, you can accomplish anything you want because no one else can tell you who you are. I believe that builds confidence. You have to envision yourself of what you want to become and strive every day little by little to become that person. I believe that defines a man. Don't forget to have fun while doing so.
