I just got off the phone with my ex who I talked to for the first time in a month after swallowing the Red Pill. Our conversation was pleasant, but since stumbling up TRP and utilizing I decided to put what I learned to practice to test the relationship I am about to embark on with my ex of 3 months. It's a bit of a long read, but here we go.
So recently she started dating an acquaintance of mine who is a BB. He is someone who was dating someone the same time that I was, but had recently been dumped like I have. Well after talking to him about the situation he immediately went for my ex. So they have been officially dating for about 2 weeks now. So I brought up points during the break up where she had told me that she was still in love with me and that we would be back together if I didn't sleep with another girl after we broke up. Soon she started hamstering. It soon seemed like she turned it into gaslighting.
She began rationalizing that she wasn't in love with me when we broke up. That she didn't even know if she loved me the two years we were together. So during this conversation I made sure to try and keep frame. I would apologize but make statements at the same time that I felt sorry for her because she didn't get to see me at my best. (During the relationship I was pissed at the world and depressed mainly because the Army lost my flight packet and got my flight slot pulled.) She made comments changing the content of previous conversations we had clamming that she had not said those things or that it was out of context.
She wants to be friends but I don't believe that exes can be friends i.e. Briffualt's Law. I have been told before that I'm a natural Alpha but reading TRP has heightened my sense to the world and what's actually going on. I decided to have conversation topics that slowly steered into increasing my SMV. I could care less what happens, but some stuff that was said led me to believe she still has feelings for me and is trying to hamster her way to settling with BB as a rebound and I think it would be fun to practice these theories on my ex.
Some ways I tried demonstrating SMV, keeping frame and having an abundance mentality: Jokingly laughing and telling her that I didn't want her back. Not being phased when she would tell me that she never loved me or lie when she said she was still in love with me after the break and reply with a jokingly and laughing telling her she's a vicious liar. Tell her that I definitely didn't want her back after she slept with my friend because (no offense, but I've had Baskin Robin's 31 flavors, but chocolate ice cream isn't my favorite) because he's black and would have wrecked her vagina. Keep in mind that all these statements were made in a playful manner while laughing trying to keep the conversation light hearted.
My questions are: 1. Is her combination of gaslighting and hamstering a sign that she may still be interested? (She has said things like, well I have him now for that so I wouldn't do anything with you.) 2. Is it fine for me to feel irritated at a friend who swooped even though I knew that I was done with her by the end of the break up? 3. How should I continue to demonstrate SMV to an ex? Should I break contact, stick with Monk Mode and show up a new person or just leave it be?
Any tips and feedback would be appreciated. Helps me hone my skills since I know what I'm doing now.
