First, let me qualify that I swallowed the red pill one year ago around this time and have immersed myself in research. I was looking for a way to repair my /r/deadbedrooms. Tomassi rule #6 is probably one of the most difficult, but most concise points that any man has come to terms with:

"Women are utterly incapable of loving a man in the way that a man expects"

Here are my thoughts on that statement. All men have to come terms with this at some point. What a man ultimately wants is for his wife/girlfriend to treat him the same way that she treated him in the first month of their relationship, indefinitely. But through the female imperatives, reactive drive, and beta males, women get further and further from that ideal the more the relationship progresses. Men get what they want in the honeymoon phase, and women get what they want for the remainder (but not really).

I also no longer accept the term "honeymoon phase". I think that's a blue pill term.

To flesh this idea out, women are the gatekeepers to sex and men are the gatekeepers to relationships. Everybody implicitly knows this and it really is the core of the downfall of the modern day relationship. Men start with this implicit contract and it is their undoing. So, at the start of the relationships, a woman knows EXACTLY how to love a man the way he needs, and she has no problem doing so because she is maximally attracted and she knows he's the gatekeeper to commitment and the long term relationship. It's all natural though, not malicious. If he's reasonably aloof and non committal, she will be crazy attracted to him and he'll be on cloud 9. Then he'll commit because he's thinks he has it all. Finally, a woman who gets him and knows how to love him. She's so enthusiastic and spontaneous and crazy with desire for him. He naturally gives her the love she needs in return. He commits.

Things will generally still be good now, but the act of committing has knocked a subjective point of SR off of him and he doesn't even know it. Still, it's new and exciting and really all he has to do is say "I don't want to see you anymore", and it's over, so it's not like she has absolute security. It's still relatively easy to maintain an alpha frame at this stage, but still very few men do. He goes beta, because that's what he's been taught to do and that's what she says she wants (and all her friends tell her she wants and she brags about how she finally found a "good" one who respects her). The more beta he is, the less attracted she is. Now come the excuses and the justifications. This is what blue pill call the "cooling off period". She tapers off the sex and general affection because her reactive drive isn't being fueled enough. He accepts this because he's told that relationships can't maintain that passion. And, this is the last time he'll truly really feel loved the way he needs.

It's ultimately his fault though because he accepts it. She says "no sex tonight, let's just cuddle" with no good excuse, and he says, "okay dear, I love you, let me rub your feet". That becomes more and more frequent and he does more and more. She is testing him, and he's failing, and she's taking control and resenting him for it and neither of them even realize it's happening.
