The thing is, they need to come in when they are ready. I think this community caters to noobs just fine.

If people leave their ego at the door and come here to learn this is the most welcoming community on reddit.

What we have a problem with is blue pill / beta's / white knights coming in here with an attitude trying to lecture us on the errors of our ways.

They are trying to turn us into the same festering shit hole that /r/seduction has become.

It has been especially shit over the last few months because it's been summer break, but now with school going back we'll see things go back to normal.

I think we need to let new people know that this is not a sub for pick up theory. We are here as a community to help each other. TRP will not get you laid, it will only improve your outlook on life. If they are willing to put in the time, then they are welcome to stick around.

We should emphasize inner game. Maybe a new "RP Victory" flair in which users get to share problems they have overcome using RP theory. Field reports are cool, but they usually deal with getting laid. And these are some of the posts that get the most negative attention. We need something a bit more positive in the sub. I think what you guys did with /r/asktrp has definitely improved this sub.

create a compact, but comprehensive, TRP-approved beginner's guide to style, grooming, social etiquette and nightlife (with photos, infographics and all, could be hosted at puearchy.com) and put it in the sidebar

I can help in the infographics department. If you've got a plan of something TRP-based to display I can whip something up visually (of great quality of course).

"Read the sidebar first, then talk" looks good enough for me... /r/becomeaman is listed on it. If anybody is willing and able to provide quality content then he should contribute. How to "promote it" beyond side bar link I don't know.

Problem is you can't force it on people. 99% of this sub is either:

a natural alpha
a beta who got badly burned by a woman/women, started to question things and is alpha wannabe (like myself)

Without 1 of these 2 components newb will very likely fall to blue pill dream no matter how hard we try.

/r/asktrp has barely 1,2k subscribers. ~~Deluding~~ Diluting it with /r/asktrp2 is imo pointless.

Honestly, newbies really need to just read the sidebar, and I mean the entire sidebar before they even think of contributing. We have /r/asktrp for queries and I do agree that the blue pill examples need to be limited.

I respectfully disagree with this. If you want to promote /r/becomeaman, that's all fine and good. But trying to restrict /r/asktrp to relationships with women lessens what TRP is, in my opinion. I think that "better living" is more interesting and more important. Also, BaM isn't solely focused on question asking, and I think that's good.

This is from an account that was created to ask a question in /r/asktrp about a relationship with a woman, but I still don't think that should be the sole focus of that sub. If anything, I think broader questions, especially broader theory questions, should be encouraged!

This board doesn't exist to make a blue piller's life easier and better, it's there to spark self improvement and alter views on reality towards the truth of the world.

Between /r/asktrp and /r/becomeaman and the sideboard, there is more than enough to get started.

If it's too hard to pick up TRP through all that, then you probably aren't trying hard enough. You have all the resources you would need to pick it up, and if you're too lazy for it, then you're too lazy for it.

Don't spoon feed newbies answers to questions that could be addressed by reading the sidebar or using the search function. That encourages laziness and does not teach the very important skill of doing your own research. Teach a man to fish, and all that.

The only response to the Donnies who wander in here and ask things like, "What's a hamster?" should be "Read the sidebar."

I get that you want to halt trolls who make new accounts to troll here but it is off putting to legitimate new red pill takers.

GOOD Field Reports can be great for new members. If they start reading real world examples with details of situations they may or may not have been in and can relate to; it can serve as an excellent example of what to/not to do. If they haven't taken the pill yet, these examples might make something click in their mind and make them ready to accept reality.

I like most field reports but the best ones breakdown situations a bit and go into detail, touch on RP theory. It's like crackin' open a textbook that has a picture and an explanation and examples. "Here, look stupid, A is this, B is this, C is this....Get It?"

Don't pander. The best thing TRPers said to me is "You fucked up, own it."

Own your failures and you'll want to make them successes.

So I say, if someone comes to TRP we welcome them, but make sure they know we don't speak feels, and we tell it like it is. We don't pander or coddle.

We will stand with newbies, we may pick them up when they fall, but we won't do the work for them.

One problem is that a lot of the newbies don't read the sidebar links.

Another problem is that many are looking for a magic bullet that will get them the girl they're lusting after.

There's also the fact that many who lurk take no action towards improving their lives (working out, learning basic pick-up, grooming, etc).

And let's not forget, reading only a tiny bit of TRP and trying to preach to experts about women and game.

I know this because I was a newbie myself. I did all of the above. Then I realized I needed to read the theory and actually swallow the damn pill.

I don't think /r/TheRedPill necessarily needs a change...Streamlining for ease of use perhaps: For instance, a tier system starting from the basic rules of human sexuality that are backed by hard science, switching it up to how modern women behave while referencing back to tier 1, then having tier 3 be kind of an introduction to masculine behavior, tier 4 could be basic life skills men need, tier 5 could be basic social behavior...Maybe around tier 10 put game. And we can sprinkle bluepill examples, rp anecdotes, and sayings all throughout that a pertinent to each topic.

Point is, the newbies here don't need to be reading TRP for Pick-up advice, they need to be in the damn gym getting in shape and working on themselves. I think there would be a lot more successful redpillers if they started from the ground up, rather than trying to jump in head-first and absorb it all at once (which just produces bitter "Cypher"-types that can't handle it).

Allow me to be harsh, and yes, feel free to criticize. I am all out for a flame war.

I'm subscribed to TRP, and I've been reading the things you guys write for a couple of days now. I'm not a feminist and I'm in favor of Men's rights.

Quite frankly, I can't really empathize all that well. Mostly because you seem to be a strong mixture of PUA culture with MRA. I strongly agree with the later but rather dislike the former. To me PUA has always been a mixture of common sense, half truths, and a crap ton of guru-esque bullshit.

The methods you guys suggest are too inflexible, devoid of context and shallow. Every woman is as different as every man is, and that's why I can't quite get into it. Not every girl likes a buff guy, not every guy likes a stupid tanned blonde. You don't have to change who you are to get laid. Hitting the gym doesn't guarantee success. Being confident and assertive does.

Flirting is an art, not math. It has context, it has quirks, it has style, it has mistakes. You advocate that drawing well is the same as being a true artist, and are proud of that. I cannot agree with that. Every girl is a different canvas, and painting the same shit every time is just dull and boring.

There are plenty of things I legitimately think men should know and apply to their daily life. Things that are completely out of the white-knight perspective. Onenitis is one of those, plate theory is another. The idea of a soul-mate and happy ever after marriage haunted me for years when I was a teenager until finally, in my late teens, I realized it was all idealized bullshit with little grounds on reality.

I think there is a lot of value in this subreddit. I liked some of the articles I read here, and comparing them to what I found out by myself while I was out there trying to get a life after 4 successive cases of onenitis. I was sick of myself and evolved my way out by getting to actually know women and not just fall in love with the first cute girl I lay my eyes on.

But all that value is buried in countless of bitter-sounding anecdotes and stories that I can't even begin to emphasize with. I think part of being Omega is getting over the fact that Women have the advantage in the game of love, and that you play by their rules. There is nothing wrong with that; it's how we humans are.

How can we better cater to newbies?
