Just a few more

I found this bit on incel game haters expresses my exact sentiments on the issue.

If you hit the minimum notch count, and then decide to be a game hater or men’s rights activist, I will wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. But if you’re living in a big American city, have two notches, and are posting “only looks matter” comments all day, you still have a lot of work to do. The reason is because you don’t understand your country’s women and you don’t have the level of experience needed to criticize those who understand the women and culture enough to know how and why the sex act occurs.

Roosh is a for-profit pussy consultant. Part of his full-time job is ignoring the larger elephants in the room. Missives like the one above are how he skirts holistic social analysis and focuses on the sale of more bang for less buck.

Everybody gets a pun.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with you here.

I am fully aware that Roosh uses his blog to sell books and coaching, but that doesn't diminish the reasoning behind his statement.

How is he "skirting holistic social analysis" by pointing out that game haters with low notch counts "don’t have the level of experience needed to criticize those who understand the women and culture enough to know how and why the sex act occurs"?

Analogy:

A man says, "MMA works, technique prevails. I have won hundreds of fights using this fighting system and have coached many others to do the same."

Another man says, "MMA is bullshit. I've only won two fights, but I know all that matters is size and strength."

Who are you going to believe?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Who fell for the troll bait this time? =]

[–]RedSunBlue1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Guilty. But these kinds of arguments come up often enough to warrant a coherent response.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True dat ~

And I agree =]

Cheers to roosh for calling em out too!

PUA/game is, as I've said before, an outgrowth of Internet marketing scammers. It's as if a bunch of women built their entire life philosophy around Amway or Mary Kay or whatever multi-level marketing bullshit is aimed towards them.

I am not going to believe the guy who makes a living off selling pick up advice.

[–]JimmyDeLaRustles0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

At the same time how are you supposed to listen to good looking PUA gurus like Paul Janka? He's like Usain Bolt participating in the special olympics.

[–]RedSunBlue2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The same way you'd assess if the ripped-to-shreds fitness guru is giving solid advice or if he's just blessed with genetics: You read reviews from other knowledgable people in the field and inexperienced people who used his system (both successfully and not). Then apply your own critical thinking skills to the reasoning behind his method.

Also important to consider is the motivations of the person writing the review. Are they being positive because they have experienced success and want to share or do they have something to gain? Are they being negative because they see the flaws in the system or because they just couldn't get the system to work for themselves?

The reason why personally I do not give heed to the majority of game deniers is that they do not offer proof to the contrary or an alternative method, and cannot explain for the number of short dudes with beer bellies I've seen hit way out of their own leagues with tight game.

I'm over 100, but I lost track years ago. I'm 34.

I'd say it's not the notches gained, but the life lessons you learned getting them, and often, getting away from them.

Why do we even fuck? Strictly out of animalistic desires? Boredom?

Answer this question and your life will become far more peaceful.

Answer the question!!!!

[–]RedSunBlue1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

and often, getting away from them.

Are you saying it's harder to un-game a chick?

[–]Sola_Rex1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Charlie Sheen famously said that at one point he preferred prostitutes - even though he could have all the free pussy he wanted.

His take was that he wasn't paying for sex - he was paying for them to leave.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I find that when they linger around after you've made it clear they're unwanted, a sharp expression of that in prose is sometimes the cure.

I don't know, really. I guess I'm just gonna fuck around until I die.

Is rooshv's book worth buying? He's considered a god around here.

[–]kisses_and_nudity2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He's not a god, he's just good at getting laid, and guys who want to get laid more would benefit from his advice.

Bang a technical guide for how to navigate the interaction, from approaching to sex. If you don't feel like doing this in clubs (I certainly don't), you'll need both Day Bang and Bang. Obviously reading the books is worthless unless you're actually practising the method he describes.

Also, this blog post is helpful for structuring how you do this: http://www.rooshv.com/the-roosh-program

[–]Modredpillschool2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I've read Bang, Day Bang, A Dead Bat In Paraguay, and Why can't I use a smiley face?

I recommend Day Bang if you need help with game (though I suppose "bang" is a good primer, though club advice is a bit dated. I don't recommend club game any more).

The other two aren't really guides, so much as extended essays about his experiences. I highly enjoyed them. His thought process is fun to read and easy to connect with.

Edit: I also did a review for the smiley one: http://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/19f4zt/why_cant_i_use_a_smiley_face_review_of_rooshs/

[–]logicalmisologist1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I just read Day Bang and I have to say that I found it excellent.

I have been growing weary of the night scene, where even mediocre chicks require undue amounts of energy to game. Plus, I think I have that genetic variant where alcohol keeps biting me in the ass (Asian flush, except that I'm not Asian).

I'm planning on hitting up a bunch more coffee shops.

[–]MustNotFfff1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I actually bought his (e)book. He's just a damn good writer (and really funny, too). I very much appreciated his insights into improving game. I have never paid for any PUA book before.

Also, if you go on his site, you can view sample pages.
