First you are making correlations that are not necessarily one degree of separation. Namely developing strong attachment with the need to know a girl to be attracted.

For the latter: it is common to need an emotional connection for good sex or to even be strongly turned on. But what this usually is is a desire to be wanted by the woman. Comfort. This is pretty normal. It might even protect you from sketchy girls if you are the type for relationships.

Second. The corollary here is that you should probably be trying for short term relationships instead of worrying about why you're not built for hookups. Three to four month gigs. Bail when lies and shit tests start brewing over. This serial dating will put you through great relationships with fairly short but tough breakups. I'm not saying plan to bail at x time... Just that is when you'll likely need to... And should for the sake of your own desire to strongly bond without merit.

Third. I don't understand why you don't escalate with your girl friends. Find male friends for friendship and escalate with them. If they want you sexually it's not even a friendship anyway. It's usery.

For oneitis, it's absolutely OK to enter into a committed relationship. This matches your description of desire anyway. Just know that it is impermanent. Protect yourself and know what's coming.

Lastly. You need to eat more. 3500 calories a day.

Lets say you have a friend who loves this girl.

At first , you think it's cute. It's cute that he is heads over heels over this girl, and wants to pursue something more than just friendship. You ask him to hang out one day and he tells you that he's finally found " the one" and he would rather spend this weekend talking to this girl.

It's okay the first time; but then you see him distancing himself from you. Instead of bailing on the one weekend, you see him bail every weekend. Then he bails on you everday. The reality is you're going to have to saddle up to the idea of approaching and pursuing girls you don't initially give a shit about. I too do not like to sleep around or date within my immediate social network, so I have gotten great at approaching and picking up unfamiliar girls over the years. If the idea seems like a waste of time to you, you need to reframe it.

You mention being introverted and not the best social player in the first place. Okay then. You aren't interested in wasting your time approaching girls you could care less about. Okay then. But is working on overcoming your introverted nature and improving your social skills a waste of time? Because you would also be doing those two things by approaching girls you don't know.

I'm actually an introvert myself, but I threw myself into social situations to get over my discomfort with approaching strangers so I could meet people in a new place where I knew no one. Now it's cake and no one even believes that I'm an introvert. That needs to be you. Practice will make you overcome your feelings about the situation as things stand now.
