Summary. I may have an extra chromosome.

I'm only writing here because there is no one I can talk to. I have to know for sure, then I can see if there is a reason to tell someone else than my doctor.

I'm not 100% sure yet. I only found out about this disorder on Thursday, and most conveniently, all doctor's offices are closed for Easter weekend, until Tuesday. So for now, it's hurry up and wait.

But, from reading on the net about symptoms, it seems that they all apply to me. It explains me being fat since forever, my challenges in losing weight, my social awkwardness, shyness, etc.

An indirect proof, and a rant. About 25 years ago, with an accident, they ran all tests on me. One of the nurses said, while looking at them: Oh, that's interesting. I asked her what. And then, she said: Oh, you have an ... extra bone in your back. You were born with it, but it will not affect you much. I never believed her, because she wasn't looking at the x ray photos. But I also didn't find out what she meant. Until this Thursday, probably. It was a freaking chromosome. An extra X chromosome. Why the fuck didn't she tell me? I was 20 then, something could have been done. And now? Fuck.

I have so many questions. Will I ever be able to lose all my fat? Do I need surgery for my manboobs? Am I even fertile? Is there any hope for building muscle? Will they give me testosterone? How long will all that take? I don't have that much time left...

My fat loss program is going well, albeit slower than expected. I was hoping to lose the last of it within a month, so that I can start lifting and eating for weight gain soon. Now, I'm not so sure it will go that easy. We'll have to see. I'll keep doing what I'm doing for now, and then go on what the doctor says. I didn't need another field to study. But hey. Life.

Lessons learned. Never trust a woman. Even if she is a nurse.

Edit: I'll be happy if I'm wrong. I never wanted the testosterone supplement. It sounds good, but risking to lose your ability to produce it was not for me. Well, there isn't much to lose it seems. That's another question for the doc.

Edit2: I am working out right now. I am also on the slow carb diet, which seems to work best for me. I don't see a point in going in details about it. Fatness is just one of the symptoms, and not the most important one. I have all the others which can't be explained away with laziness and wrong diet. My current diet and workout is good - I am consistently losing weight for more than 3 months now - and I can sustain it forever if I have to. No worries there.
