Bros in their mid 20s currently swallowing TRP, I have no choice but to join you. I'm lost, determined and angry at the same time.

Raised by women, no male figure past 10 yrs old. I'm always polite and chivalrous to women, even bitchy ones. Fast forward today, I'm a lurker on /r/MFA that studies music for fun. I have a job to brag about and lifts. Everything except developing game w/ women is on point. It's finally hitting me that men and women fall pretty far from the same tree in todays world. I stared blankly at a wall last night trying to process the following:

  • My attractive sister told me she would marry a guy for the money, nonchalantly. WTF?

  • I ponder a past LTR and the nature how we cut ties. I went cold turkey from her (hardest thing in my life at the time). Six months later, she hollers at me and offers a trip to Costa Rica with her trying to win me back. Never realized this was a manipulative move.

  • I confessed I liked a girl back in college. Today, I ignore her and focus attention on other friends in the circle. She's going for a run outside and decides to stretch near me. She inches closer and closer between stretches till I say something.

In meditation, there's a concept where YOU are the mountain and thoughts/emotions drift by you like clouds in the sky. YOU are unfazed by these emotions that don't define you. 5 months of zen and I can't stop being upset how our dynamic with women has been insidiously poisoned in us by the media. Help..
