TRP critiques and analyzes the mindset of women. We're all familiar with this. Solipsism, shit tests, hamster, etc. But what mindsets do we men have that women have to deal with? Should we be conscious of this?

There's 45 thousand of us here. Of course some of us are religious. Some of us are not. Why do you ask?

[–]iamirishpat[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Im Catholic and I guess Im just wondering if there are any other Catholics here. Im not too well versed in RP yet, but it seems that some observations clash with my religious beliefs, and I just want to see how other Catholics (or anyone religious) deal with it.

I'd like to see what observations he is talking about. While some people do spin plates, there are probably more who are just using what they learn to improve themselves and learn what to expect in the future so they can properly manage their relationship.

If you agree with the overall philosophy (eg. Being A Man), then it's easy enough to "gloss over" the things that clash as being immoral or unbiblical in some way. Ultimately, apply it as you see fit... without (of course) just "cherry-picking" what looks easy and what's too "hard" to kick yourself in the ass.

A significant part of TRP is how to spin plates. In essence, how to "hack" women. How to exploit parts of their psychological underpinnings that I believe (as I suspect you do) were designed for LTRs in order to get laid quick. But in order to learn how to exploit this system, you must learn how it works, and that will aid you in more effectively using it as it was intended to be used.

TRP is also about empowering yourself by understanding and exploiting your psychology. There is nothing wrong with that. Self-empowerment is a means to nearly any end, and many of those possible objectives are good.

Also keep in mind that the church has seen a significant drop in male attendance over the past few decades. This has led to excessive female focus and feminization of both the ideal man and God himself in many churches. God is not someone you want to try to railroad, manipulate, or blackmail. He will not be controlled and does not care if he is condoned. Christ could not be bothered by unpopularity, intimidated by the Sanhedrin and death by crucifixion, or constrained by death itself. His character is what we seek to emulate, and despite what you will hear implied over and over in your time at church, that does not mean passivity, neutrality, or fear.

I used to be Catholic, and I blame that upbringing for a lot of the frustration and confusion I've suffered since. What parts conflict with you? While I'm not Catholic anymore, I know what you're probably going though, so I might be able to help.

Basically, the biggest beef I have is the whole sex thing. I am a devout Catholic, and I'm not a virgin, but I try to abstain from having premarital sex. I understand the RP is about being being "alpha" and seeing the world for how it really is, and having sex is a big part of that - or so it seems from my exposure to this theory.

I'm actively self-improving (lifting, eating right, getting in the right mindset, etc.) and I've become better at setting frame and passing shit tests when interacting with women. It's just that I just want to find a Catholic girl that I can get married to. I'm not interested in spinning plates.

[–]spandestic1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hear you, I still have the same problem. Religion has instilled in me a shame for my sexuality, and a desire for a loyal wife. If you abstain from having sex, then that's fine, it shouldn't really interfere with the tips listed here, because they (usually) don't require sex. Usually it's about commanding respect (especially self-respect), and showing how women actually function.

Alternatively, I'd just get a blowjob. I don't know how devout you are, but oral shouldn't be off the table. Even though for my church, the pastor said "any action that makes you want more [sexually]," is immoral. Which included premarital kissing. Which is ridiculous. But if even oral is off the table, sleeping with (literally) and cuddling should be fine. Even a Catholic girl won't feel guilty by that.

But regardless, finding a loyal and respectful wife will be the same challenge that a lot of us face, religious or not.

Learn from TRP what you can, learn LTR game, and read The Married Man Sex Life Primer. http://www.amazon.com/Married-Man-Life-Primer-2011/dp/1460981731/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1397174567&sr=1-1&keywords=the+married+man+sex+life+primer

Read Alpha Game Plan by Vox Day (it's on the sidebar). He's not Catholic (although he lives in Italy), but he's Christian. If you dig through his archives you will find what you are looking for.

Yes. I'm Catholic. Discovering TRP has strengthened my interest in Catholic doctrine because many of the CORE beliefs of the church are redpill. To give but one example, the church teaches men to love their wives and wives to be submissive to their husbands. The church is a 2000 year old institution that has defended traditional family formation with the husband as the leader and the wife as follower because this has worked for thousands of years.

Yes, a catholic upbringing instills sexual shame. Yes, they have some strange ideas on condom usage and abortion. Yes, it's hard to believe in god in the modern age. Yes, the history is full of goodies like witch burning and the inquisition. Yes, the church has some serious pedophilia issues and we are still waiting for justice.

For me I am discovering that the positives (of the doctrine) outweigh the negatives. Focus on the teachings of Jesus. The man was a badass who spoke his mind and never lost his frame. He changed the world forever, and fundamentally understood the differences between men and women. The church is the only human institution that I know of that promotes and advocates traditional gender roles for men and women.

Religion is a lot of take-it-or-leave-it. I'd say I ignore 75% of it, and take the remaining 25% for my own use and enjoyment. In this way I use religion as a tool, it fits into my life. I am not a hardcore believer, just someone who appreciates the traditions and understands that perspective. I treat TRP with the same respect. There are aspects of it that I ignore. I have no desire to spin plates. I prefer monogamy and I also want to get married. But to be successful in these endeavors I use TRP to keep my woman feeling feminine and submissive to my will. She enjoys the comfort and security of my exclusive attention and I receive all the trappings that a LTR affords.

Exactly. Catholic here too. Churches have generally established the rules by which a healthy society works. Traditional roles make fr a society with less conflict. Look at things now. Maybe they figured out thousands of years ago that women are irrational, and TRP exists because society has abandoned that ancient truth.

The creation myth of Catholicism is that Eve took the apple from the tree and gave it to Adam, the source of man's original sin. In other words: women are easily tricked by Satan/Lucifer and when this occurs it is the downfall of all mankind.

One of my fuck friends like to play she is a naughty school girl, and I am the Principal of a religous school. Often I would call her to my "office" and have to discipline her. Does that count ?
