The saddest part is your countries all aspire to be like America. You want that money. You watch Hollywood movies and you listen to their artists. You will sell your souls to become like America. Look at divorce rates in China. You want strong moral values and shit? Stay at a middle level of power. Too much power corrupts absolutely and the west has all the power (until it's decadence destroys it from the inside-out, at least.) Then an Eastern country like China will take over and then the same shit will happen to them until someone else takes over. Success destroys the successor due to excessive comfort. Humans lose their edge when they live in opulence, perversion sets in and becomes the new norm. Read the Fate of Empires by Sir John Glubb. We're about to hit the collapse in the civilizational cycle. This isn't anything that hasn't already happened before.

I was on a beach yesterday watching ducks float on the waves.

Some were very smart and figured out how to ride the waves. Others seemed unable to understand what to do and kept getting slammed by the waves and were forced to fly out of the situation.

But does that higher IQ duck give the duck civilization any advantage?

No, probably not.

This is the same problem that human civilization has. We cycle through these up and downs of the civilization cycle and aren't actually selecting for an improved species.

Eugenics has become a negative term (improving the breed) but how the civilization cycle works is as the civilization rises it promotes Eugenics based on circumstances (promoting quality rather than equality) but once success is achieved it promotes equality and Dysgenic (breed deterioration) patterns.

Technology magnifies this.

It only takes very few extremely high IQ people to set up systems that support millions of other people who then don't need to have any intelligence to survive.

So Technology actually enables Dysgenics.

East and West are different to this very day, mate. You can blame it on the prevalence of feminism and the "sexually liberated" women of the West, if you so choose. Ask around. I think the guy from Roosh V states this to be the case explicitly, and uses it to explain his preference for non-American women. We're decadent, even degenerate if you want to be really harsh thereabout. IllimitableMan makes a good point.
