Well they also advocated mace and artillery. Shaming, trolling and uploading pickup attempts to youtube to harass and publicly embarrass them were also suggested.

Also, its apparently beyond just security now. Apparently according to twitter and a source in the thread the mall has contacted the police to get them involved. So if you have a penis you could face charges for sexual harassment or trespassing if you talk to a girl.

Update on the PUA group: a friend says Eaton Centre security advised they have contacted the police about this meet-up.

The thing I hate about these PUA guys is that I can't have friendly conversations with strangers anymore. Everyone thinks I'm trying to hit on them when really I'm just trying to be friendly or kill time

PUA have a script they use on every woman - so right from the start the message they are communicating "I do not see you as a person", just a receptacle for their verbal diarreah..... every woman has either been the victim of, or knows/witnessed, a man physically or verbally flipping out because the man was "rejected", almost all women in public are cautious of being overtly rude to strange men. It doesn't feel nice to politely decline a gentleman's offer "to suck your pussy raw, bay-beee" and then have him follow you down the street screaming to everyone that you are a whore. - ?

They should talk to me like a regular fucking human being in a situation where it's appropriate to do so. .. as a young looking and rather small girl, I am already a victim of way too fucking much of that.

And every approach makes some woman uncomfortable. Why are they just seen as springboards to this guy's improvement, rather than as people with their own feelings?

We are three dimensional human beings with thoughts and opinions.

So are the guys doing this. And some of them will end up developing their personalities out of it, and others won't, possibly because some girls will be flattered by the attention and both sides will get what they want out of it. But to me the most striking thing is the number of attempts to shame this behaviour. A group of guys who are going out there with the intent of improving their lives. They may be bad at it, but at least they're trying.

While the PUA mentality is fucked, painting every man that doesn't sit back wait for women to approach them as a pathetic non-man trawler is insane and I have no idea how you're being upvoted.

Practicing cold approaches helps get over the anxiety of talking to women, a problem these guys clearly have. Have some empathy.

I get the feeling that everyone who is so "disgusted" by the PUAs are really just jumping on the opportunity to kick people when they are down. It reminds me of the rich who condemn the poor. "Those filthy poor people who live on the street. Ugh. Why don't they just get a job already?!" They don't have a job because they never acquired the skills to get a job, so they are forced onto the street, and they are filthy because they have no place to live to get cleaned up, so people judge they harshly even though they may be a victim of circumstance. The idea that people would be condemned for attempting to improve their social skills I find disgusting. These people who turn to the PUA communities have a social skills deficit, because they were considered undesirable at a younger age, or had a bad home life. Who are you to try to keep them down when they are attempting to self improve? I know exactly what it's like to have approach anxiety. I'm 33 years old and have only had 2 girlfriends in my life. The thought of approaching women in public to have a conversation is terrifying to me.

Ehh I see what you are saying, but I don't think publicly approaching women is the problem with PUA. ...If you see someone attractive, what's so wrong about talking to them? You might never see them in the "right" situation. Who knows, that might become your girlfriend, wife, or just a good friend. Yeah, your intentions might be a bit obvious, but I think that's ok. If the girl is off put by it, you will be able to tell ..As for knowing if you have similar interests, just find out! have a conversation. I find this more organic then just waiting for someone to be doing something you like.

If you feel creeped out, that's badly done PUArtistry. The guy at the bar you had a one night stand with because you're a sex-positive empowered woman with no patriarchal restrictions on your sexuality? That was PUArtistry done well.

If a woman is uncomfortable, she should just reject him. Your point can be broadened to all human interactions, since no matter what you say or what you do, it'll make someone uncomfortable. So should we stop all human interaction?

p.s. whoever told me a few weeks ago that Toronto is a shit city for straight men, wow... yeah. Yeah it is.

especially since game has a locally vicious circle, if used by sufficiently many guys - the harder it is to pick up girls up in a place, the more game you need, the more they get used to it so you again need more game etc.

honestly what people post on reddit is just bunch of BS some time. "oh i'm gonna do this if this ever happens to me!" or "i'm gonna do that, to hurt this person." < from what i read from alt30313 post, the comments that he posted, i can guarantee most of these people will NOT do what they say. This post made me realize that most of what reddit is says it crap, so stop reading that crap. What say are gonna do is different than what they are actually gonna do. Sp stop reading this crap, and go out there and improve yourself.
