So yeah I recommend you reading the original Buffers that Rollo wrote on TRM

My last 2 ex told me they wanted to me friends with me, and they really meant it. What you said about friendship really hitted me in the stomach. Thank you man, I'll improve on that.

This is practical advice.
Rollo Tomassi talks about this in his book, The Rational Male
A Tomassi paraphrase is: "Long-Distance Relationships (LDR) are not relationships. What you have is a situation in which NEITHER PARTY can be 100% certain the other is faithful.
The exception is the loyal and dutiful wife waiting for her military husband to return from mission.
Tomassi also speaks about "Buffers" and how men are socially conditioned (with Disney Fairy Tales/Blue Pill Concepts) to accept unnatural situations based off the possibility of continued or future relationship/association with a female.
There is a Recommended Reading List for guys who truly want to embrace and understand TRP, modern women, and how to remove themselves from "the Matrix."
However, when I talk to men who want to "unplug," my go-to recommendation is The Rational Male. His book details virtually EVERYTHING men have been doing wrong with girls/women since the eighth grade.
When they get through that one, I of course direct them to the Sidebar Materials and then to a few other books, but Rollo’s seminal work is top of the list.
