Hadn't been in TRP for very long and my posts are little here. However, i do feel the need to share this. Let's rewind the time to the year 2014, somewhere in September.

I was engage in a very heated argument with the girl, i know from school. She's a 20yo girl who is very much independent, honorable, and never failed to let me down. I'm 24. Ain't very fit. Had a tummy from my lack of exercising. But always have a eyes to detect a girl going through some tough times in relationships. But she never judged me from my looks nor how easily i seem to be able to understand the girls around me with just one look. She truly sees the good in me that i can offer. She constantly seek my advices on things and for once, proved to me that there are still girls who can see logically, unlike much of the girls in my utterly sheltered country in Asia. Note that in my country, girls are not that extreme as compared to America. They are well educated, but still sheltered. Most girls here still wants and expected to be treated like a princess. That moment, i knew she's the sort of woman i should date for an LTR.

However, I lost frame in the midst of the argument and things turn really really ugly. It completely screwed my chances of ever winning her hearts over to me while she clings onto her insecure ex-bf.

But all it takes was just that one time, where i lost frame, goes back to being utterly beta and in that instant, she stop contacting me and jump back into the arms of her ex. Being into that beta mode, i never stopped trying to contact her.

That's where i realised i made a mess. I looked like her ex, insecure and all so i decided to just put a stop to everything. I ceased contacting her, focus on my work and going about doing my hobbies and improving my body.

Within a month, she return to her ex. She initiated contact with me and but i wasn't really interested anymore. I placed her on a pedestal and now my job, family, band of brothers and my hobbies took more roots in my heart. I barely had any time spare for her.

On december 2014, we finally met up. For once because she said she wanted to go back to the days we were still best friends. I agreed to a simple dinner.

I went back a different person. I am more stoic, more disciplined, and a total opposite of what her bf is. We were casually chatting about our future plans and as i shared mine, she was really taken by surprised.

Our conversation topics soon drifted to relationships. She started to hint how much she regretted going back to her ex. I simply sit there, smiled and told her this - "You made your decision, so have faith in it, and try to work things out. Waiting for your uselessly insecure boyfriend to do anything at all will just bring this relstionship to ruin."

She immediately tries to pull a fast one on me by saying - "I still have you no?" To which i smiled again and simply said - "Not anymore."

She was taken by surprise and kept quiet. I steered the topic to something else and finds she will constantly try to steer it back into her rhythm. I held frame at all times and stood my ground. She never had the chance.

On our second meet up, we went out for a dinner. This time, despite knowing that i am seeing a few other woman in my life right now, she clinged to me and we regain the closeness we once had. We laughed, joked and gets pretty touchy sometimes. But i held frame and never relented when she hints that i still stood a chance.

Honestly, fellow brothers, my feelings never did fade. I still had feelings for her. But she's still no longer a priority. I had better things to focus on such as getting fit, doing my hobbies, spending time with my band of brothers and family.

I'm slowly improving myself in holding frame, and honestly, i have to thank TRP for truly opening up my eyes. I have so much more to learn and definitely will be here more often.
