Men are not paid heavily in compliments and don't find themselves showered in attention. Even when you're above average in many indexes. This is why I think many guys are acting out desperately in social media and in real life. Those who can't control themselves enough find their behaviors becoming similar to a starving or hungry person. The begging and sometimes aggressive behavior is caused by the fact that not even men pay passing compliments to each other, let alone from women. Meanwhile, on the other side of gender in the cultural dynamic we see even below average women having some sort of consistent attention. Women know they're desired in one way or another and that people SEE them.

I am not at a loss in myself for not having that attention that I would like. It is bullshit that I am mostly invisible because I am a man. Do you find this to be true for yourself? What do you think?

I'm a newcomer and this reason had an influence on why I am here now.. After debating with myself over my belief of this subreddit, I finally realize that I agree.

Edit: my area may play a role in this, I live in Montana.
