It depends on how you want to measure progress. Do you measure by how hardcore your shit tests are? How many numbers you pull? By the names women call you? Your n-count?

By talking to this girl about her "point," you were pulled into her frame. You don't have to defend yourself against her bullshit, and you shouldn't because logical arguments with women are mostly useless. Personally, I would've made fun of her, deflected, and moved on to something else. The best thing you did was let her walk away.

As soon as you try to argue her shit tests logically, you lose. It's a very, very simple concept: do not interact with women rationally. It's really that fucking simple. Agree & Amplify, ignore, or pressure flip.

You know why you don't argue it logically? Why do you think that she brought that up? Do you think it was for logical reasons? No...she is just shit testing you to see your hierarchical position. Why then do you think you can logically explain your way out of it? We already know women like the qualities that would be in a player.... women don't like players because they want commitment and want to feel special... BUT basically a girl when you walk up is either not going to be attracted, or you're going to pique her interest by being "too good" and that's going to make her think you're a player... but notice how there is zero way to win!!! Again it doesn't make logical sense if you really think about it. She is shit testing you about being a fake player but the only way you make it happen and pick up girls successfully is IF you're a player! How else would you walk up and have the confidence to pull her in?

Same shit as always dude. A&A, ignore, pressure flip. Only argue rational topics that have nothing to do with you. You can argue... what's the best way to make a cake or some dumb shit like that. But don't argue with shit tests, no logical explanations. You lost any form of attraction when you started trying to defend yourself. An alpha male wouldn't have done that, or someone who wasn't a player wouldn't have done that.
