Taking time and avoiding all vices while focusing on yourself.

A lot of men use it as an excuse to not go out and talk to girls.

A great way to procrastinate going out there and doing things because they intimidate you.

Prior to entering monk mode write down the exact period of time you're committing yourself to, the things you'll abstain from and the things you plan to realistically achieve.
