While it may not be obvious, playing a musical instrument is surprisingly similar to lifting. We all know the benefits of lifting thanks to the 1001 lifting posts on TRP and an important few are as follows:
-Increased self-confidence as a result of: -Increased female attention -Increased respect from peers -Discipline -Affecting mood in a positive way
What you may not know, is that all these benefits are also be obtainable by learning to play a musical instrument. Now don't get me wrong here, I'm definitely not telling you to stop lifting. I'm telling you to use a musical instrument as a creative hobby which you need anyways, and the bonus is that it's a supplement to improve your well-being.
Personally I started playing the piano before lifting, because I was 12 back then. It taught me discipline. I was shitty at everything but knowing that I mastered the ability to perform in public gave me a form of passive confidence that only lifting could replicate.
I would say, teach yourself an instrument because you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
