While i am new to this subreddit, i just learned about it a month ago,i figured all guys could use this advice manly because i am a high school student and there isn't very many examples for alphas in high school. So about a year ago i was dating this girl stereotypical attention whore, when we would text she would constantly talk about how ugly she was while simultaneously fishing for compliments. At first i didn't really care, because we were hooking up nightly, but then eventually i just got sick of her self pity party. One night i eventually just called her out on her shit, when she said 'I am so ugly' i merely just agreed with her and said 'ya lol' that spawned the largest argument of our relationship thus far. She kept on complaining about how unsupportive I was off her and how i was 'causing extreme self doubt'. I then fired back at her saying it shouldn't be my job to be her personal cheerleader and I cant be causing her self doubt considering all I do is compliment her . Needless to say our relationship didn't last one month longer. We eventually broke up and that practically ended me dating girls, just causal hookups at party's and concerts. I have to say after that relationship ended a weight off my shoulders was lifted it was so exhausting having to reassure this girls ego everyday and you don't realize that until its over. TLDR: if you have a girl constantly fishing for compliments dont give them to her!
