Who knows. Seriously, the nature vs. nurture debate pisses me off. Our behavior doesn't have to be explained by one or the other.

If you leave a child to be raised by wolves, it will not be able to fit into human society. This means that much of our behavior is developed by being nurtured. However, no matter how much you nurture a monkey from birth, it will never be a functioning member of human society.
