Lying

Lying, the thing people tell you is wrong and bad. Society believes it spoils your relationships, gives them a weak foundation, and if you lie you have to keep lying and build on more lies until you're just a big fat liar with no integrity that no one should ever trust!

Bullshit. Lying is a valuable and important skill to have. People will tell you lying is bad, yet one of the most popular lines for success is "Fake it until you make it." Lying skillfully can:

  • Make you seem higher value than you may actually be (as long as it makes sense to)
  • "Trick" your brain into eventually believing your own shit and help you mentally move toward success
  • Build attraction from women

And there is no concrete black and white difference between lying and telling the truth. There's many forms of lying:

  • white lies ("harmless" lies to avoid confrontation)
  • withholding the truth (some can argue this, but I think it's a form of lying)
  • straight up falsification
  • teasing (yes this can be a form of lying, but it is a powerful Game tool).

Being too honest can hurt you

What does the truth get you? With women, I've experienced SO many times where I'm straight up honest with my answers, and they just lead to boring conversations(questions like "Where do you work?"). Now one area we should all be honest with is with our sexual nature/intentions and not feel shame for expressing them, but even still we have to "withhold" the truth even for a short amount of time -- feel free to disagree with me here.

Is lying amoral?

If it is or isn't, I don't really care. It can be useful if used correctly. It can help you if used correctly. It can make you seem confident where you aren't.

I'm not saying you should only lie to others, but realize in life nothing is off the table. If you need to lie to get your way, fucking do it. If not, more power to you.

Now, some of you may be saying "duh" but this isn't apparent to many people. It took me a long time to not feel guilty for lying to someone, but as long as it doesn't directly harm someone(say, lying about an STD you have) I have no qualms with lying and you shouldn't either.

Do you think lying is harmful in any form?
