From a philosophical point of view right and wrong are just social constructs. We behave the way we do because we’ve been conditioned by society to do so. I think that these social constructs, when cherry picked, are crucial to our way of life. If you watch Planet Earth you can get a good idea what life would be like without morales and values.
I remember last week when I saw these iguanas that were born on the sands of a beach every year. A majority of those iguanas never lived past a few minutes because they were quickly preyed upon by the terrifying amount of snakes. It was a bit surreal watching these baby iguanas being filmed from birth to death in only a matter of minutes. Animals have three main goals in life. They want to eat, fuck and survive.
If it weren’t for our morales and values this is how we would live. I would have our morales and values any day of the week than have to sleep with one eye open. I think you should do what makes you happy in this world however, what makes you happy shouldn’t infringe on others right to live, pursue happiness and be free from harm. I think if we could all agree to those simple terms, life would be a lot better.
I think you just have to be careful when you go telling people that there’s no such thing as right or wrong. I think you can make people like that Cruz kid if they take you serious enough. We have rules for a reason but I think it’s so we can be more free to enjoy life. Animals don’t get to live like us. I know where my next meal is, my mate is safe and I got a glock so I’m pretty well taken care of haha. I get you though, some of our morales and standards are weird and don’t make sense.
