TL;DR: this guy writes column about breaking up with LTR and feels. Explores one-itis issues and beta behavior patterns around scarcity of women. Makes unwarranted associations to rape and murder.

There are two reason to post this story. First is that it's a great example of beta thinking. He turns his disappointment about LTR failure into an essay about male entitlement, MRA and Elliott Rodgers. MRA and men's rights has nothing to do with pining away for old lovers. It's about equal justice. Elliott Rodgers was a disturbed individual who did not have any girlfriends. He was suffering from a terminal/homicidal form of social adjustment disorder and/or severe mental illness.

Second is that it shows the pitfalls of not thinking abundantly. The first thing anyone should do after an LTR failure is reacquaint themselves with abundance theory. Pining away about one girl is just about the most pathetic thing you can do. Don't waste your life. Go monk mode or go game, don't whine about some woman who is on the CC.

One last thing. Relationships end. Neither party is entitled to perpetuate the relationship if the other person doesn't want it. This is the nature of freedom. We should teach this to children and in schools. This article does make a good point about fairy tales and the bad example of Hollywood. He just makes it a very sexist thing. As if men are the only ones who whine about breakups.
