Fear and Laziness I think one of the things that holds us back from achieving our goals in life is fear. In and odd way fear can manifest itself in our lives in the form of laziness. If you think about it, laziness restricts us from doing the things that we want. Laziness is our brains way of keeping us the way we are because we inherently fear change. Change has this unpredictability to it and that’s really uncomfortable for a lot of people. The laziness is sort of way of preserving how we currently see ourselves this way of seeing ourselves is our ego. So it’s an ego protection system. This is why change is so hard because on some level you’re fighting against your ego’s protection system. Implementing change is a war against yourself. Usually people change as a result of adversity and not of their own volition I imagine this is why we have this ego protection system in place. Unfortunately our body/mind doesn't know this is a self-induced adversity and it reacts in a way which leads us to try and avoid it. Simply: without adversity and stress we don’t grow.

Overcoming Fear and Adding Value. One of the ways I've found to overcome fear is to remove the ego from the equation. To do this, ask yourself how will your success at affecting change within yourself be a benefit to others? A lot of people want to be fit. How does being fit help others? In ancient times being fit might have mean you could be a good hunter a good provider. In our case it’s being Red Pill. The interesting thing about Red Pill is it’s trying to teach guys a couple of different things. Among them are ways to improve ourselves. How does the Red Pill benefit others? A red pill male provides a female the emotional fulfillment that she is looking for. Not in the sense we been lead to believe but rather the actual fulfillment she is looking for (not the one she says she wants). Part of Red Pill mantra is: find a job that is valuable to others. At its core this is a provider mentality. Everything about the Red Pill overarching idea is about adding value. Even plate theory just spreads the love so to speak. Every single one of those plates is getting tingles because they are getting something out of it. When I first started reading red pill stuff I thought it was extremely self-centered. As I've read more I’m coming to the realization that part of the reason so many people poo-poo it is because it’s tough as hell. We are essentially saying you need to be pretty awesome to succeed and the reason your life has sucked up ‘til this point is because you haven’t been trying to be awesome. You've been avoiding change because it’s hard. But that’s natural and needs to be overcome. Look beyond yourself and see how being awesome can benefit everyone around you.

TL;DR: Being awesome has benefits beyond the ones you personally reap.
