You won't like that title. You shouldn't like that title. The notion of having to jump through hoops pisses you off. It should.

SUMMARY: RP Men have a worldview that encourages challenging authority and breaking down barriers. That's what makes us here in this corner of the net different from other men. We admit that men achieve great things. We have to earn what's ours, and that's what makes it great.

Embrace the Objection

I've heard it said that when you're born male, the world is going to be harder for you. Things are expected of you as a man, whether or not it's actually spoken aloud in today's feminized Western society. You are to be strong in mind, body and will. For that reason, you are challenged. You are tested. It is a man's burden.

It doesn't matter what stage of RP life you're in. If you're married, you're shit-tested by your wife. If you're a single alpha spinning plates, your shit-tested on every approach. If you're a beta orbiter, you're shit-tested (and failing). If you're a CEO of a Fortune 500 Company, you're shit-tested by every person gunning for your job. If you're the janitor of a Fortune 500 Company, you're shit-tested by the gatekeeper to a promotion.

You won't escape the shit-test, but as a RP man you can win them. In trial lawyering, we have the phrase, "Embrace the objection." When first taught this concept, a lot of rosy-cheeked young attorneys ask, "Why? Those interrupt the flow of the testimony blah blah blah..." The reason objections interrupt the flow is because you fucking let them. Young trial lawyers fear the word "objection;" it throws them off. The judge, jury, or both can see it on their faces. When these young attorneys get thrown off, their response to the objection is sloppy and rife with stuttering and stumbling to find the right words. Maybe they win the argument, maybe they lose. Opposing counsel grins. The young attorney then begins to regain momentum with the testimony, while the judge and/or jury now doesn't see the same strong confident trial lawyer they saw before, they only see the chink in your armor. And worst of all, opposing counsel sees it, and will certainly take advantage of it.

That's what women do. Think of the judge and jury as the social market, and women as opposing counsel. They will shit-test you constantly. The world will shit-test you. But there's a right way and a wrong way to handle shit-tests, just like there's a right way and a wrong way to handle objections. But the important bit to note, is that the right way to handle an objection confers the same benefits that you get from handling a shit-test the right way.

When you embrace and anticipate objections, and are confident enough in your purpose for being in the courtroom, you aren't fazed. You hear that magical word, "Objection!" and you fucking grin. The objection is your time to shine! You glance at counsel, knowing he's wasting his time, turn to the judge, make your argument, hear the response, and (whether you win or lose) adjust your questioning accordingly--all in one fell swoop.

The jury doesn't even notice the objection, they're listening to the testimony, which feels largely uninterrupted (that's what you want) and all is right with the world. Opposing counsel will get uppity at some point and objection again, but you're ready. You don't care, because you're not going to look stupid and stumble around the courtroom. You're going to run that courtroom, you're just waiting for the opportunity.

The same thing happens when you're shit-tested by anyone else in the world. It's no different from an objection. A shit-test is a fucking opportunity. On a first date: "How many women have you slept with?" From your plates: "Where do you see us going?" From the slut at the bar: "What kind of car do you drive?" From your LTR: "Do you think she's pretty?"

You're well prepared for these moments, you're a RP man. So you don't give a fuck, and you answer correctly. All is right with the world. She knows she can't break you, but she'll try again. Your SMV stays high, you maintain your frame, and good things come to you depending on who shit-tested you.

What do objections and shit-tests have to do with paying dues, though?

If you're a RP vet, you've likely caught onto this by now, whether or not you've used these words. Life's a giant shit-test. They're everywhere, in every facet of your life. And they're not just from women. Your boss throws you a project two days before the deadline. Shit-test.

But who cares? You were born with a cock, and you're ready to swing it around. You've been waiting for this opportunity. You are successful with your project, and you've been balancing the relationship with your boss and his boss, you move up another rung.

As a man, you're going to be challenged, and life's not going to be easy. But as a RP Man, you don't want fucking easy. You want the challenge. By being called to be challenged, you are called to greatness. You don't hear baseball players complain that the World Series is difficult, or see NFL players hesitant to play in the Superbowl.

"But that feeling you get when you hear the phrase 'pay your dues,' what is that? You said I shouldn't like that phrase, but now I kinda do." Well I'm glad you asked my red pill brethren! That feeling? It's hunger. Hunger for greatness. It goes by many different names, but I like to call it competitiveness. You want great things, and this is your path to them. The path has hurdles, but the very fact your path has challenges makes you push even harder. It makes you even hungrier. For RP Men, that hunger isn't going to go away. You don't want it to. If it goes away, you're content. Who the fuck wants to be content? I sure don't. I want victory over this goddamn life. Our unfortunate sleeping BP brothers? As long as they "make enough to live a relaxing life," they're fine. They're the 9-5'ers. They're the ones who would rather play video games for 35 hours a week. A diet of cheetos and Budweiser is perfectly fine for them.

But not for you. Because you don't want relaxing. You don't want easy. This is not your burden. This is your opportunity.

Because if life were easy, it wouldn't be worth living. By being a man you're called to be challenged, and by being challenged you're called to greatness. If you live your life as though your call to be challenged is just paying dues on the path to greatness, you've got nothing to fear. No objection is going to stand in your way.

Man is meant to be hungry, driven, and determined. We are meant to achieve great things. We have it inside, and the RP wants to bring it out of you. The fire inside you has been doused by the waters of feminism for far too long.

Go forth and be great.
