I was talking about with a several coworkers today on the nature of sex, slut-shaming and masculinity today and the conversation naturally progressed to the nature and desirability of relationships.

My coworkers know I am a player- I have no desire for relationships on the whole, minus a minor case of oneitis (this is relevant, bear with me). Now all the coworkers present are heterosexual and all have either been married or are married. I asked them all why they wanted their past, current or future LTRs. The only real answer I received was from a twenty-two year old male who said "I enjoy the companionship and someone to share my live with. She makes me happy." I pointed out he can get companionship from good friends, and he can always experience life with good friends or blood-related family members, so why did he need a marriage for that? Why did he need someone else to make him happy? Beyond that, he was unable to quantify why he felt the way he did and just called me bitter.

Now, the interesting part was when the female of the group pointed out I had said I'd be willing to enter a relationship with my case of one-itis, and asked why I felt that way. I thought for a minute on this. My case of one-itis is gorgeous, intelligent, doing the course work for a major and a minor in practical fields, and spends a great deal of time volunteering when she's not riding the carousel. I realized my attraction was based on how driven and successful she was and will be in the future, and her overall strong sense of morals (minus the promiscuity, of course). I was attracted to her because I felt she could motivate me to do better.

Immediately after I realized my basis for one-itis, I asked myself "Why the fuck do I need someone else to motivate me?" I shouldn't need someone else to further motivate me, and this is something I'll be working on in the future. That said, my desire for a relationship with this woman stemmed from my own desire to self-improve, and my own flawed emotions and thought process. It is a weakness to require someone else to constantly motivate you, and a major logical fallacy to think a relationship is a good source for this.

Thus at this point, the only logical reason I can find for entering a LTR is for the sake of procreation; the production of strong, intelligent, and mentally equipped offspring. (There's enough evidence circulating in the manosphere to show that children benefit from two healthy parents present in each others' lives without having to delve into this further.) Other than the biological imperative, the is no reason or benefit, emotional or logical, for a LTR.

Let's see some debate on this Red Pill, especially from our married Red Pillers .
