Take a shitty $12/hour job. Bust your ass in it and jump on the better opportunities that will present themselves because you're bustin' ass. Sounds like you're waiting for the perfect opportunity to stroll up to your parents' door and invite itself up to your bedroom instead of bustin' ass at whatever you can. That's not how it works.

I'm applying and getting interviews with jobs that pay 15-16 a hour. Should have a job lined up in next couple weeks. Luckily the job market in my hometown is better then Vegas when it comes to entry level, fresh out of college jobs.

Good. Now when you get there, bust ass.

Change your mindset. That's really the only advice to give you. Along those lines, I would recommend you listen to the Tao Te Ching audiobook on YouTube. Be careful, it has a lot of blue pill philosophies, but it will offer you excellent advice on how to maintain frame while your emotions run rampant (which they are 'cause you're talking about your feelings on TRP..)

Get the basics covered first:
Job
Housing
Health
You really are in no position to do anything but focus.
Having a history of opiate abuse means you used to want to be "happy" all the time and that is now your enemy.
Stop chasing happy and become stoic and more serious.

I'm not against "pick-up/game" by any means but maybe in your situation you should put that on the back burner and focus on more important things. You can always come back and the progress you make outside of game will help also.

I agree with you, I moved to Vegas on kind of a whim because one of my main wings was getting a two bedroom luxury apartment a block off the strip wanted me to come. Too much opportunity and I figured if things didn't work out which they didn't I could bail after my initial three month lease. Me and my friend were talking about this last weekend, I have taken game too serious and disregarded other aspects this past year (in particular a career and finances). I lived in Colombia for three months last fall and then spent this summer in Vegas, met and gamed with some of the top guys and learned a lot. I am making that switch and realize I need to get a career going, but I'll still hit it up every weekend. It's one of those things I do now, it's like working out for me. If I don't go out on the weekends or don't workout a few times I feel out of sync. I really missed out on the social aspect of women growing up with body dysmorphic disorder and then using hard drugs from 18-22 while everyone else was partying and being social in college. I was hiding in my room getting high. Goodlookingloser has a good article about prioritizing your sexlife. http://www.goodlookingloser.com/laid/fundamentals/confidence/how-to-stop-feeling-guilty-for-prioritizing-your-sex-life-when-you-think-you-should-be-doing-other-things I've done that the past couple years and am now at an intermediate level and it isn't as pressing on my mind and can focus on other aspects.

Everybody makes bad decisions. What differentiates between someone successful and someone who is a failure is simply this: the successful guy never stop trusting his own guts, mind, judgment.
The minute you dont rely on yourself to make decisions, you are heading for failure.
Success may not be easy, it may take years, but you have to make your own decisions.

This guys SMV's almost as bad as an incel. By the time he finishes his "Moratorium" finding himself in a Post-adolescent phase he's going to realize that everyone else his age & some-- younger have already started businesses & everything. Graduated into master's/Post-graduate programs.

While I don't have a career or my own place right now I should have some entry level gig that will let me get a place downtown soon. Trust me I realize I screwed up career wise but there are alot of Millenials in similar situations. Even with no career or my own place I'm still able to bang chicks on the regular in my car as I am 6"3 and in really good shape. So yes while aspects of my SMV suck right now some don't.

Dude, I'm a male model. My family gave me a house to live in with no rent. I do university/building fashion entrepreneurialism on the side. & trust me when I tell you 'getting your head above waters just the beginning of the competition'.
I'm from upper-middle class. & Im telling you-- its brutal out here. & that's after getting your shit together. No-ones going to be strait with you but that burnout SMV isn't stable & once you gain a couple years girls are going to shun you hard. Unless you're productive.
[–]AWright32 3 points3 points3 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I plan on being productive and while I feel like I have failed in ways so far I don't feel hopeless. I know burnouts from when I abused drugs, they are 26, smoke everyday with no education and work at Jimmy Johns because that's the only place they can find work, they are hopeless.

Quit playing WOW. Look up for a bartender/ bouncer job. Hit the gym up. Start learning how to code or something. That's a pretty good payoff. Maybe take up drug dealing? No clue my friend. Just don't fuckign sit at home playing WOW, do anything else before that. Work on your car.. self.. hang out with friends.. anything.
I've been hitting the gym, use to be in great shape but lost some muscle mass in Vegas, gaining it back now. I looked into coding, just decided it didn't fit my personality type after trying it for a couple weeks. I should drop the WOW but it is an easy escape of boredom.
[–]OFAFV 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Drop it. Do pushups or meditate. Cut off easy access to dopamine that brings no benefit. Relieving boredom is not a benefit. It is your new opium and you remember what opium did for you on your younger days right?

Well getting paid 30k a year doesn't suit my personality type. I'd rather make 6 figures.
Why not take up reading books? Guns? Maybe save up for a motor bike or ATV out there in the desert? Work on your resume and look for a new job? Try to talk and meet people at the gym? Take up cooking? Photography? Climbing? Swimming?
Go out and be a boss, pick up some blue pillers who are scared shitless to talk to women and set the example.. even if you get rejected you'll laugh about it after. These guys will always look up to you, just remember it's easier to cold approach guys than women.
I'm looking at possibly getting into a martial art class a couple times a week.

There we go that's a start. Do you have any pets?
Dog might help you with some companionship, makes it 100x easier to day game ladies if you were walking down the strip with a pimp dog.
I'd do some martial arts but I use my brain for my job.

Dude, this is beyond repair. Addictive personality & lack of direction? = Fucked
My problem isn't lack of motivation it is not living up to expectations due to the life I once lived in particular from ages 18-21. Those decisions threw me back literally four years socially, financially, career wise and I've been playing catch up in a lot of ways ever since. I also had big plans for Vegas but reality slapped me in the face. I've got some good advice in this thread but I wanted to make that clear, my problem isn't motivation.
