Value is in the mind of the beholder. Depending on the girl's background and expectations, officer rank of various levels may or may not associate with power/value.

With that said, being a good line (field) officer generally does require alpha presence and behaviors, so while the rank itself may or may not translate, the bearing probably will. (Staff officers are much more hit or miss; many of them are glorified office managers or bureaucrats.)

None of this is a good reason to go into the military. The only reason you should join the military is if you feel strongly that your people are in military danger and that your country's civilian leadership will use the military competently and ethically to repel that danger. This is definitely not the case in the US or in the vast majority of the world's nations. You can learn alpha bearing without making yourself a mindless weapon for immoral politicians to wield for their own benefit.

IMHO there are different kinds of status: status within back withing the caveman tribe living in our instincts, status in modern society, and status in a subset of it.

There is the kind of things that would have got you status in a caveman community, i.e. strong and wild, muscular aggressive and tough, who would challenge the chieftain, this is primal and women react to this instinctively. This is the kind of simple animal level or fighting level status when other men simple give way to you on the street.
The is actual social status as in income. Women react to it on a bit less primal and a bit more rational way, "ambitious man", "classy man".
There is status within a small subgroup of society. Like in a book club where everybody is passionate about reading and writing and other men look up to you and ask your advice and you are some sort of a leader, the women of the club, who are part of it, who share this passion, will feel tingles. This works with women who are part of this subculture or club. But those who give no shit about this club or subculture not.

Now in the uniformed occupations:

The tougher kinds, marine, commando, are a good way to develop the "primal", strong and wild and aggressive part of you, the animal side, the others get out of your way kind of status, so they give you this kind of primal status. Being a fat cop does not. And this has nothing to do with your rank and authority.
The general social status, I have heard that soldiers in America are more respected than here in Europe but generally I think an army captain or police officer still ranks much below a rich lawyer. So this part not really. The usual problem will be the lack of money I guess.
Your rank works as long as women are part of the same club. I.e. actually serve under you but this can be incredibly dangerous as in harassment accusations etc. rather not. But if let's say there is this civilian girl, and she has an older brother, and you outrank her older brother or even be a commanding officer of him then she is kinda part of the club, she may see you as higher status. I mean when she sees a man her big mean older bro is subordinate to, that is impressive, you know what I mean? But for the average civilian girl out on the street who is not related to this group of people not.

Cop is a bit special because people generally respect and bit fear the authority of cops, so that might work.

The power to command others is going to be a turn-on for them, BUT... the ability to command/control/influence others will do much much more for you. That's charisma, and it doesn't come from a rank (though it can be learned through the experience).

But to answer your question... no... power to command others does not equal the power of the wallet, because the power of the wallet IS the power to command others, even those outside of your organization.

The good news... 90% of my successes have come when the girl has no knowledge that I bank large coin. For the short term close, charisma and escalation game will get it done almost every time.

Now that you mention it, I'm a truck driver, and I get a lot more random IOIs when I'm wearing my uniform. It's just standard blue collar fare; jeans, steel-toe boots, and a blue uniform shirt with my name embroidered on it.

This does more for me than $1,000 worth of nice clothes and a fine dress hat, and it's not because I look like a hipster douche in a good fedora or Panama with perfectly shined shoes.

I've actually been planning to go buy some cowboy clothes and see if I can capitalize on the blue collar angle better that way, but you've made me realize it's probably the damn uniform. It says, "I work somewhere they think enough of me to stitch my name on a quality work shirt," which apparently says more than, "I can afford to waste $1,000 on clothes."

Hmmm.
