Make a conscious decision not to blame anyone else for your own choices. Refuse to accept the blame for someone else's choices. Think carefully about what is and isn't your responsibility until you intuitively know what is your shit to own and what is someone else's shit to own.

If you can get to a point where you own all of your own shit and none of anyone else's, you've made a great start.

Also- that shit that you're owning? Do something about it. Don't whine about it, don't beat yourself up about it, just fix it. Dwelling on the past is about feelings. Choosing your future is about effectiveness.

My take on this:

Examine yourself and your life and pinpoint all the things you don't like about it. Then do what you need to do to change them. Here's my personal goals.

Body too skinny- Did research on diet and exercise, started eating 20x bodyweight in calories, lots of protein, and a wellestablished workout routine that I feel is working.

Unsatisfying social life- Started going out more, approaching more strangers, started researching and upgrading wardrobe/grooming

Buy a condo / Want a BMW M5 instead of my shit Accord - Working harder, researching investing, trying harder to network

Anyway, as you accomplish your goals, you will get deep, real selfesteem, and you'll be alpha. Until then you can fake it, which is almost as good.

So, how does beta become alpha?

You want something objective to work on? Try this experiment:

Go somewhere that is absolutely packed with people; busy mall, festival, etc...
Walk a straight line through the mass of people - hold this line with your head up, shoulders back and arms down. Look straight ahead and force anyone walking towards you to deviate from their line to avoid bumping into you. Everyone. Little old ladies - parents with strollers - it doesn't matter who or what they are; if they can move - they move for you.

You are alpha when you can make it to the other side of the mall without having to deviate from your chosen line.
