Of course. People who bring gender into this discussion are belittleling a horrible crime. Everyone can be drugged or subjected to the treat of violence/death/blackmail. Physical strength (or the lack of) is hardly the deciding factor nowadays (weapons/guns, blackmail, date rape drugs make physical strength obsolete)

For myself and every other well adjusted and mentally stable individual out there, rape is forced sex. While many people seem to want to redefine the term to something more ambiguous and subjective, the act is a felony, and it's not open to subjectivity. It's a binary situation. If the sex was forced - victim was unconscious / lack of consent was clearly expressed - physically (defensive action/removing yourself from the situation if possible/safe) and verbally (clearly - there is no room for nuance here) - then it's rape. Anything that does not fit the above does not constitute rape.

Since we're talking about an infraction with life-changing consequences, bias and feelings have no weight in what constitutes an infraction. What constitutes rape for one person is exactly the same as it does for everybody else, individuals don't get to decide if they were the victim of a crime, the law does - by clearly definining what constitutes said crime.

Contrary to radical femnism's rhetoric, the occurence of a well-defined violent crime such as rape cannot be applied retroactively. Remorse or other bias does not change what actually happened.

To sum it up

Anyone can get raped.
There is no such thing as partial consent.
An individual cannot decide they were raped.
Buyer's remorse does not absolve one from bearing the responsability of their actions and decisions.
People are presumed innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around.

rape is being fucked against your consent, meaning you ACTIVELY AND EXPLICITLY do not want this to be happening. no conflicting emotions, no nuance.

In which cases what many political correct people call rape, is not actually rape at all?

when the girl agrees to it but changes her mind later. when the girl says she doesn't want it but ACTIVELY AND EXPLICITLY makes it clear that she does (not leaving a situation, excessively sexual behavior that is clearly deliberate). when the girl chooses to drink but then doesn't claim responsibility for her actions while she was drunk. when the girl is being persuaded successfully and doesn't have enough willpower to resist something she wants but doesn't want at the same time.

pretty much anything outside of being forcefully held down and inserted is not rape in my view.

Absolutely hell yes they can. There are support groups that exist solely for male rape victims. Women are disproportionately victimized more, but absolutely positively men can be raped. I'm shocked people would think otherwise.

Rape is forced sexual activity without one's consent.

I don't really want to get into the second question. It's not an experience that I've had (thankfully), and therefore I'm not able to properly empathize.

First, rape is a legal concept. For instance, once upon a time it was impossible to "rape" your wife. Also, there is a such thing as "statutory rape", which means parties are consenting, except at least one party is not legally allowed to consent. (WTF does that mean? Well, try defining "consent".)

Anyhoo, when discussing "rape" I think most people mean nonconsensual sexual activity - with the caveat that some parties are not allowed to consent.

You need to define "consent" and decide what parties are unable to provide consent.

In practical terms, it's simply safest to go along with the law because - literally - that's what rape is, a law.

Are you worried about protecting yourself? Historically, there were two sure ways to protect yourself. Have sex with a prostitute, slut, or other woman way below your social class, or marry.

Today, it's pretty safe to stay away from drunk or otherwise impaired women and anyone not of adult age. It's also a good idea to stay away from married women and women with boy friends. Also, virgins.

I will tell you from studying court cases and reported rapes that the more sexual experience a woman has, and the more independent she is, the safer you'll be.

All this is a long way of saying that historically, rape has been more about the identity of the victim and perpetrator than about the actual details of whatever behavior went down. I believe that in almost every description of rape you read these factors come into play, from the most ardent feminists to the most pussyfied MRAs.

Why is this true? Because for whatever reason, treating a woman's vagina like expensive real estate is a natural state of human affairs.

I think you are asking the wrong question.

Our justice system is based on innocent until proven guilty. We can define whatever we want as rape. It doesn't matter. What matters is what can be proven in court in such a way that it doesn't break the system.

"A person should be able to withdraw consent 5 seconds before climax."

You have no signs of a struggle. Witnesses outside the room state both wanted it going in and during the act. It boils down to she said, he said. And that is just a waste of time and money and should always result in no action taken.

It is a perversion of the current justice system that media, courts and police operate on guilty ~~until proven innocent~~.
