This is not a specifically RP issue, but I think it has RP applications. I noticed something, and I was wondering if it's just me or if others have noticed it too.

I admit I spend some time online, and if one does that they notice trends and currents. Many of those trends and currents are things that are discussed here. But sometimes I feel like I inhabit two alternate realities. The things that people fight so passionately about online seem to be completely ignored in the real world.

Mention Red Pill online and people immediately lose their shit. But I doubt anyone I know in real life has the slightest idea what "red pill" means.

Eliot Rodgers, and related issues of gender are constantly debated and fought over online. In real life, I almost never hear discussions of him. Even the feminists I personally know don't try to exploit the crime to score cheap points. I was all ready with rebuttals and counter arguments, but they never bring it up.

These are just two examples, there are many more. Is it just me, or do others find the same thing is true for them?
