For any conversation, be it over the phone, or over text messages, or at a chance meeting in public, the man should be the one to say "Alright cool, well I've got to run, see you soon" at least half the time.

No exaggeration. And keep a count. For 50% of your conversations, you should be busy with work or some project and decisively cut it short.

This is a form of Outcome Indifference, and it's very powerful. Beta men, who are outcome obsessed, are always available to her for as long as she'll engage. The very fact of their constant availability is a strong signal to her that she can do better -- that the beta is aware he's got a hot product and is desperate to keep it.

Don't ask for permission. Don't apologize. You can even say things like "alright cool, now stop bugging me, I've got to concentrate" and it will be well received. Just make sure you are not available to her more than half the time.

(Does not apply to good-faith LTRs of course.)
