Today was homecoming. Walked into my school and saw every girl with a large mum (some looked like dresses). Overheard a conversation between two girls in my speech class. The white volleyball player was mocking her date with her friends because she convinced him she deserved 20 bucks. He was freaking out because her mum was smaller than average, so she not only took advantage of his fear of inadequacy, but bent his spine and humiliated him in front of many friends and strangers.

Simply leading up to this week, girls who never acknowledge me try to become my friend, seeking a guy to do some humiliating shit, beg, plead, and cry for her to be a homecoming date OR to get a vote for homecoming court. I've never asked any girls to homecoming, A because I suck at game and am far less than decent looking, B because the whole thing is nauseating.

But maybe I'm just looking at it the wrong way. Do social functions like homecoming and prom bring out the BP in the average student, or is it the other way around?
