Onesitis; a title most probably would like to pass off as something they don't have. It is because your ego is reacting, it doesn't like negative titles. Your fight against this tittle is denial.

It develops because of a lifetime of search for the one. It develops because you're scared of losing something you have put on the highest pedestal possible.

If you own only one pair of shoes, you will be careful not to scuff, stain, or damage those shoes. And in the process, you've done everything but use those shoes for their purpose. It is in this same way that you not only destroy attraction, but also use a woman for something other than she was intended for; a fantasy, a life's purpose.

If you have many pairs of shoes, you will use them as such. You will not prioritize these shoes in order of importance. You will understand that they are just shoes and are made to walk in. Sometimes they will be scuffed, damaged, and every single pair has a life expectancy.

It is evident then that you must realize the purpose of shoes, that they do not last forever, that you can only obtain another pair so long as you have the resources to obtain them. Because if you lose the ability to obtain shoes, you will develop a scarcity mentality and lose sight of their purpose all over again.
