There's nothing in that bag for you. You have no use for it, and you aren't a pack mule.

Is it really that big of a deal? I see it as similar to someone asking to hold their drink or something. Is that situation different because that is the dynamic between friends?

It's not a big deal if it really is "momentarily" and her hands are literally full or otherwise pre-occupied for just a moment (i.e. if it actually makes sense, and she doesn't do this or other things often to try and emasculate you).

It's definitely a shit-test to refuse to agree with when her reasoning is "it's heavy." Well damn girl, if it's heavy don't put so much shit in it, know what you can carry.

Unless they just broke both their arms, yes.

I have had women ask me to hold their purse dozens of times. Not once was it necessary. Not once was it justified.

When a woman I am with hands me her purse--I start rifling thru it riffing on everything I find.--I never get handed a purse a second time

Depends on the situation. Personally, I don't mind holding a purse, so long as I'm doing it as a favor and not out of obligation. If we have been out all night, she has a big bag, even holding some of my stuff, and we start walking up some steep SF hills, I'll hold onto it to lessen the load off her for a little. But I'm not going to hold it just because she's lazy/entitled.

I agree that shit testing is frequently a subconscious act, it helps girls to assess their current situation, i think rarely do they review the event in detail and question why they behaved in such a way. All that is reviewed is the overall sense of satisfaction they have at a given moment, which is on a feedback loop connected to shit -testing,
