Spontaneity and date rape. Are these two things linked? Does female desire for spontaneity actually play a role in enabling rape to happen to girls?

Why don't guys just stop pandering to girls every whim and desire and reinforcing their shitty behavior? (story/rant)

How can I make myself get real about women and turn that into consistent sex? I'd really like to get even with the women I dated.

why do women still care about a guy who "can protect them" and expect guys to do that? What's with this "weak female" stuff?

So what's the point of dating girls who abuse their looks and wouldn't give you a chance when you were younger? Why bother learning to play the game for leftovers?

Louis CK had a joke along these lines. He got points from some for making an "acceptable" rape joke: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4hNaFkbZYU

In statistical terms, it reminds me of Type I vs Type II error: either you're going to upset some women by not being "spontaneous" enough, or you're going to upset others by not having asked explicitly for consent enough times during each and every sexual interaction.

Edit: Also, in before this is taken by our beloved sister subreddit and presented as blaming rape victims for being raped.

Some women literally want to be raped. I know, sounds like a contradiction, but you have to realize something like half of all women admit to having rape fantasies.

As for myself, what do I do about women like that? Get the fuck out. No means no to me. Women like that are fucked in the head and you need to escape. Yeah, I'm probably talking about 50% of women, but that's life.

As he said, "so you wanted me to rape you on the off-chance you would like it?" Sometimes they're not going to give you any clue, and deliberately mislead you. Sometimes they just don't deserve to get what they want...

Pretty sure she wanted him to forcibly disrobe her, but she didn't give a hint like this chick did:

Suddenly, out of no-where, she gave me a massive shove. I didn’t know where she’d mustered the strength, but I ended up a respectable distance away from her. I looked up, only to see a huge, smug grin on her face. Figuring this was her odd, abrupt way of halting things, I sat up, ready to call it a night, only to be kangaroo kicked in the chest with both her massive legs. She sat up on her knees and followed that up with “I bet you can’t do it,” while glancing down at her unbuckled shorts. Against my better judgment, I accepted this ambiguous, and potentially dangerous, challenge. This was either going to be my Penthouse-Letter moment or the beginning of some drawn-out legal troubles. http://www.returnofkings.com/3009/all-girls-like-rough-sex

C'est la vie.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Nowadays a lot of them are talking pre-negotiated consent not just explicit consent. The difference is a little subtle but basically it's not enough to have them say, "You can fuck my pussy," now you're supposedly supposed to ask if you can fuck their pussy at that time. Maybe's are not sufficient. I just ran into this last week, but I'm a BDSMer so I have to negotiate more than you fuckers do.

I've always been into implicit consent and always will be, but there is opportunity in explicit pre-negotiated consent if you want it, though why anyone sane would unless they're desperate I'll never understand... It scares me though.

[–]no_game_player 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

more than you fuckers do.

Assuming "we" aren't at least as kinky as you are.

I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to. I did note the each and every time bit. The phrase "pre-negotiated" can refer to so much. I read it as something more in advance of the actual act, though I sort of don't think that's what you're talking about. But "consent in advance" isn't considered valid, depending on the feminist you ask. Or at least, it's meaningless because you basically would need to "reconfirm" in case the person has changed their mind in the intervening time.

I definitely agree about implicit consent being important and useful. It's the way much of life works. As much as the "consent is sexy" is plastered around everywhere, the dirty little secret is legalistic, explicit consent just isn't sexy.

Whatever. As in so many of these areas, the consoling factor to me is that it makes no difference in my life. I've never asked myself for consent, so I must be raping myself every few days at the least, eh? Heh.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I got a bunch of bullshit for having consent in advance, safewords, and consent during, for not laying out how the scene would play out. She visibly loved it to. That's what I'm talking about with the pre-negotiated consent bullshit. This was recently.

[–]no_game_player 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Wait, what? So, despite consent and ways to stop, they were pissed because you hadn't described explicitly everything that was going to happen?

Yeah, this sort of shit is why I really don't like the "respectable" BDSM community.

I mean, I'm about as celibate as it gets. But I did have a get-together with an old flame before where it was just sort of understood that she was to be used. I didn't bother with a safeword, and I sure as hell didn't tell her exactly what I'd be doing beforehand. I wasn't entirely sure myself. It wasn't a complete success, largely because of a lot of nervousness on my part.

But it wasn't like it was hard to figure out (well, not too hard) from her playing along (pretty good actress) to when there was some actual issue (awkward positioning, incidental indirect hair pulling, whatever). I mean, I knew her.

At the same time, with my background, I was internally freaking out during much of it heh. She helpfully gave me a bit of a push at the beginning with some sort of mild insult about me not taking the reins or something.

Anyhow, I'm quite sure if I were to foolishly go and describe in detail what we did in a "respectable" forum, I'd be run out of town on a rail, at best. But we both enjoyed each others' company and neither of us would've preferred to have not played.

This is why, although I like the idea of BDSM play, I think it's probably best to introduce a partner to it, rather than find someone who has extensive experience. They're likely to be jaded and set-in-their-ways about the "right" way to do it.

In my opinion, a sub should submit. In the common view, a sub should be running the show. Which is totally fucked up to my mind. If you want to be in total control at all times, don't call yourself a fucking sub.

I described everything that was going to happen and got consent for it. They were not one hundred percent clear it would happen then, and I cut the coffee portion of our meet short. They then drove to a trail with me, walked into the woods away from prying eyes, and presented their naked derriere for my inspection before I did anything.

It was a load of hooey and I feared that she was insane for a few days after. "Be in touch," was her last statement to me IIRC.

presented their naked derriere for my inspection before I did anything.

hahah, nice. That's gotta be consent right there, to any sane person.

So...wtf was anyone complaining about then?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She complained my spanking was a bit hard after. I think she was coming up with excuses for things going too quickly for her. Dunno.

I always communicate about everything because I find that women are never willing to articulate any sort of agreement with regards to anything and will just expect you to read their minds/often contradictory body language. I feel like you can never be too safe when it comes to dealing with women.

Also bdsm is fun.

[–]911carreraS[S] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

That video was pretty funny and yea, I totally agree with it being a type 1vs type 2 error. I'd really prefer the latter as long as she isn't some insane control freak, but I always get the former and if I communicate, it just means dealing with the fact the girl will basically act like "Wow, are you really communicating about this? Now you're never going to fuck me because i just lost all respect for you". It is just made so unnecessarily irritating and cumbersome by female expectations/retarded dating protocols, and stupid P.o.v.s on stuff.

[–]1Zackcid 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I like the note you wrote at the beginning of your post. You're well aware of feminist hyper-sensitivity and how blue pillers are so eager to jump at any occasion to frame us as rape-endorsers.

In a way, I still find it almost sad that some subscribers like you have to go this far just so you don't get judged negatively. We're not MRAs, you don't have to prove anything to anyone or adjust our image to be "politically correct". Most of us who are reading know very well that you're not a rapist or a "rape-apologist". Some folks out there just need it spelled out explicitly or their hamsters go on overdrive.

As for your question; I think so. But at the same time, a woman knows when she's being raped and if she isn't attracted to that person, she won't even care if it's spontaneous, she'll stop it immediately. My guess is that a lot of attractive guys actually do "rape" women by being spontaneous, but women love it so much when it comes from these guys that they don't mind it.

[–]16 TRP VanguardTRPsubmitter 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I feel like that if rape is to ever be really examined the roles females play in enabling behavior needs to be examined.

100% agree with you.

However:

If both people were guys they'd have no problem just asking "do you want to fuck?" and the problem would be solved.

That's the rub. Women aren't logical, especially in matters of attraction and sex.

You have to transcend your frustration about women not living up to your expectations. You have to transcend the hypocrisy of how women want a spontaneous/dangerous guy, yet cry rape if it's "too" much. Ultimately, it's up to you to construct a sexual frame that eliminates this possibility.

Whereas most guys might whine that girls aren't being straightforward regarding sex, you need to recognize their true nature and take advantage of it. Make them want you to fuck them all tied up and shit like that.

[–]Doomsday_ 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly.

Women want the following things:

1) They don’t want to feel pressured to have sex. They have to feel that it’s their decision to consent--but they don’t want the guy to ASK for their consent straight-up. Their consent is almost always non-verbal or implicit rather than stated explicitly.

2) They want sex to “just happen” and the guy to be so turned on for her that he “can’t wait any longer.” They want sex to be an event or an occurrence, not a transaction.

Consent in sexual interactions is all about body language. Sex is like a dance.
