Genital Herpes (Type II) is prevalent in over 15% of the U.S. population (20% for women).
Oral Herpes (Type I) is prevalent in over 50% of the population.

Condoms are not a perfect defense, but cut transmission rates in half. Condoms + antivirals further cuts transmission in half again (ex: if the base rate is 12%, condoms drop it to 6%, and condoms + antivirals drop it to 3%).

As for HPV, it's estimated that roughly 80% of women contract HPV by age 50. Prevalence among 20-24yo women is closing in on 50%. Numbers for men are lower, but still really high (and guess what, you probably have it and don't know it!).

Obviously some STDs are more difficult to avoid than others, such as HPV and HSV-1. Many people are completely asymptotic (and WebMD suggest 90% of HSV-2 carriers don't know it), and neither are 100% prevented by condom use. Additionally, HSV-1, while typically considered the "Oral Herpes" virus, can still be transmitted to the genitals through oral sex.

TL;DR: JUST WRAP IT UP. There isn't much you can do except a) pray to god she warns you first (or is on antivirals if she doesn't) and b) avoid high risk groups. As to the later, certain minority groups are MUCH higher risk pools, although this is probably largely due to the fact that low socioeconomic status is itself a risk factor. Poorer areas have higher STD/I rates.

If you're using TRP to pick up women, one important thing to remember is that these are the kinds of women who fuck without condoms because they can just get abortions later and he always pulls out.

If you're worried about STDs, date women who aren't stupid whores. Just remember TRP won't hold up as well.

It is relatively hard for a man to get an STD/STI from a woman. Just use condoms and you're good.
