First: take control of your life and recognize yourself as responsible for your predicament.

Independent study is your answer if you're looking for real intellectual improvement. I have degrees from a fairly reputable American university known for its quality STEM programs but to be honest these programs are shit compared to what I can teach myself in my free time. I learned more about my subjects in the few months of independent study I performed after college than during my college years.

It sounds like you're really interested in math, and that is the subject I studied at college so I can help you out here if you're really interested. As for CS, I have only some limited exposure to the subject.

Don't worry about your age at completion, 24-25 is still very young and a man's value increases as he ages.

Also, for a non-native speaker of English, your written English is excellent. Much better than most non-native speakers I've met personally. Its better than almost all the foreign students who were at my university when I was a student.

If you want to be good at math where it pertains to CS you want to study discrete mathematics, and have a good grasp of calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. I'd also recommend some knowledge of abstract algebra and general topology. An hour a day of math will greatly improve your ability over a few years, just like training any other skill. Also, focus on solving problems to learn. Read the theory only as you need it to solve problems, and take notes only on the problems that are especially difficult for you (come back to these problems later and redo them regularly until they are easy for you). This way you will improve your efficiency at studying.

So here is an example progression for you:

Discrete Mathematics --> Single Variable Calculus --> Algebra of Matrices and Simultaneous Linear Equations (Elementary Linear Algebra) --> Multivariable Calculus --> Vector Calculus --> Ordinary Differential Equations --> Basic Abstract Algebra --> General Topology.

Edit: It may help your language proficiency to study these subjects using English textbooks. Here are some of my recommendations that you can probably find as PDFs online:

Susanna Epp's Discrete Mathematics with Applications
James Stewart's Calculus
David Lay's Linear Algebra and Its Applications

Awesome answer! Thank you!

recognize yourself as responsible for your predicament.

Meh, it’s the most difficult part of all that you've written above. It isn’t just to choose between "cola" or "pepsi", it is a problem of my whole life, because a bad choice will bring bad affects, I think.

Independent study is your answer if you're looking for real intellectual improvement.

Well, it doesn’t work for Russia. Perhaps everybody what to eat and drink and I am not the exception, so in a real life I need money to buy food, pay debts and so on. It is impossible to do this without a work\source of revenue.

I have no opportunity just tell my relatives: “Mom and Dade, I want to study independently, just provide my for several years without any guarantee that I’ll find a job and become “a reliable person”". Also trusty saying I need sort of control(or not, I'm not sure) which the University provides, because sometimes I don’t want to do some boring staff. Another problem is “no paper means no life”. In Mother Russia it’s difficult to find a job without paper about your higher education. You may be a smartest person ever living on the Earth and work just for food, and the most stupid person raking in the money just because you have the paper of your education. Not kidding! So I’m forced to get this paper.

so I can help you out here if you're really interested.

Oh, it sounds awesome! I'll send my email address to you.

An hour a day of math

I’m about 3 weeks trying to write some code an hour a day. Probably I’ve written 0 lines of code =\ Back to home I do my home assigment and go to sleep; I'm way baked to do anything Also I know that there is a company (maybe you heard about yandex.com) that suggest really awesome courses for everyone at CS. But you need to pass an exam and it’s quite difficult for me now (probably if I take it now I’ll fail it.)

Here is required minimum of what I need to know (perhaps you need to use translator). And here is a real exam. At the end of the page you can see some tasks. It is a screening test.

you can probably find as PDFs online

Sometimes I don’t understand math written in my native language, but nevertheless thank you for the example progress, books and so on. You’ve done a great job writing it, but Independent study isn’t the best idea for me now. Now I think about “change the University” or “grit the teeth and continue studying”.

Ok, so if you want to pass this exam you need to find some way to set aside time. You keep saying you have no time, which of course means you can't do anything.

Independent study doesn't mean you drop everything you're involved in. Is there any way to take fewer courses per term?

I do have some good news. I took a look at the requirements for that exam and its not that much - could be learned in two months or so if you had an hour a day.

How much of that do you already know?

Of course, you could finish what you're doing now and find a job of some sort, then study independently. This is what I did, as I had no financial support from my parents when I was going through college.

want to pass this exam

It is not enough to pass the exam. If I pass the exam, I’ll study here. And the course program is pretty difficult as graduating students said. This is not just a math or a programming course they combine a higher mathematics and a power of programming algorithms together!

Also the company will offer trainee job for the best students after the course. Just imagine how many opportunities I’ll get if I have a trainee job at yandex? This is a very expensive present.

Is there any way to take fewer courses per term?

My University doesn’t have a courses system. I have 6-days schedule. The schedule contains many subjects (I don’t select them, just get at the beginning of a term) which I study during the term. My studies begin at 8 am and finish at 3-5 pm and I come home at 6-8 pm.

How much of that do you already know?

It is pretty difficult question. According to the global curriculum I know lots; but now I forgot a lot, or just don’t really understand some staff. If you want I can analyze it point by point. Perhaps it should be noted that the company wants to find awesome programmers, so it’s not enough to learn by heart how to solve casual exercises, you need to understand how does Math really work and get an ability to solve unconventional tasks (This is the most important thing of the post).

Any pieces of advice?

Yes. Copy the body of text, delete this post, and re-post it in AskTRP, where it should have gone in the first place.
