This is a recognised issue caused by them having nothing else to complain about.

And just like communism, even on paper it's utterly unworkable once you actually read its own self-proclaimed tenets.

"Equality feels like oppression" is a lie told by someone trying to oppress you using your own values as a disguise. By pretending they believe the same things you do, they think they can convince you to accept their proposals, and if you complain they'll retreat to the Motte of "b-b-but I just want equality 😥🥺" until you leave them alone, whereupon they'll happily return to whatever they were doing before that got them unwelcome attention.

I see the same "you don't get a cookie for doing the bare minimum" rhetoric from feminists. I disagreed with it then, and I disagree with it now. If she's actually changed, she'll be giving herself a hard time over making the wrong choice before. We don't need to make it harder for her, and we should instead celebrate someone else joining the movement. Again, that doesn't mean that we have to accept what they did in ignorance as somehow acceptable, just that we don't have to be relentlessly hars…

Better than doing it to both. We should be kind to people who made an error and regret it, because the damage is done and while it can never be fully undone, we should at least give them praise for recognising they did wrong and doing better. That doesn't mean we say it's ok that they did it to their first kid, mind - the consequences of a choice are what they are regardless of whether you knew you were making the choice or not.

All the trial in the UK proved was that at the time they published the story, the sensationalist rag didn't know it was a false allegation.

It would have to be a word that didn't focus on their gender, because them being men doesn't somehow transfer power to any other men in society.
/r/MensRights01/06/22 05:14 PM
3

It's literally just a way to classify who's in power! No, it's not. "Patriarchy" has a lot of added baggage, and the moment you agree to use it without the baggage, the people promising you it "just" means that immediately revert to the definition with all the baggage.
/r/MensRights01/06/22 04:43 PM
3

How can I make myself more clear that men can be in charge of other men and mistreat them? By not trying to call that patriarchy, because it's just individuals acting for their own benefit.

men occupy the powerful positions in American society. And men occupy the least powerful positions, so by your own definition they're also the most oppressed. It's funny how "woke" people will accept that trickle-down economics doesn't work, has never worked, will never work, and is inherently flawed, but trickle-down gender is 100% true perfect how things work.

imagine their shock when they finally learnt men can and do get raped. Or could be, if the law allowed it.
/r/MensRights14/05/22 12:34 PM

Basically any attempt to get a man to "open up" is going to police men when they try, because the ways men open up don't fit with what they've been taught so they aren't prepared to do it.
/r/MensRights14/05/22 12:33 PM

It's a feeling you have because you haven't overcome it yet. Women want men who are confident enough to approach them without needing to be prompted, or even in spite of slight resistance towards it. They want men who "just get it" and if you have to be told that, you're not that guy yet.

Concerned that the videos violated TikTok’s terms of service against content promoting normalizing, or glorifying violence or suffering I'm so glad that the "journalists" who published the the UVA rape hoax are very very concerned about misleading or harmful content being published. If only they were so rigorous themselves.

That was Ruth Bader Ginsburg's objection to the ruling. That the right way to do it was to pass a law or constitutional amendment, rather than letting the court legislate from the bench.
/r/MensRights12/05/22 03:16 PM

Of course it is - otherwise the woman or the state would have to bear the burden. Much better that a man, who doesn't have feelings and exist solely to provide labour, do it. And, if the responsible one can't be found, any other will do.

that was his choice to make in not wanting to be involved an I told him at the time it was okay. Even now I'm not one who would ever force a man into being a father or being a part of or paying for a kid if they didn't want to be there But you could. If you wanted, or found yourself struggling, you could. A lot of the time you can't even get government assistance if you don't.

of course feminism is going to be primarily about women and MRA is going to be primarily about men, and that’s okay. It would be ok if feminism didn't claim to be about both and try to stop any other discussion about the issues.

I'd like it better if your source was from someone who studies feminism They are someone who studies feminism. But if you'd like a more academic source, James Lindsay has gone into it. Feminism as it's defined And yet you won't extend the same courtesy to the Men's Rights Movement. Lots of feminists I know personally understand the issue that men are treated as unfeeling numbskulls who rape and kill and that's simply not the case for all men. And yet they still treat men they know personally bad…

this sub also has a habit of dismissing women’s issues. Almost like it's not a women's advocacy group. Women already have that, it's called feminism. What we want is for feminism to drop the mask and admit it's just for women, and focus on that instead of spending a lot of energy pushing every other group out so they get all the attention. But that would involve letting funding and resources go to other causes and they can't have that.
/r/MensRights10/05/22 10:45 PM

I feel like you shouldn't be fighting then right? Yeah we feel that way too. It's difficult not to fight though, when any attempt at advocacy is met by vitriol and hatred from the other side.

I'm also not a men's rights user because my opinion is well all genders have issues that need solving. Congratulations on agreeing with the mens rights crowd. I believe solving them all without hurting the other side is the beat solution. We'd love that but experience has told us that feminism is far more interested in keeping its monopoly on gender rights than working with men to solve their problems. She (correctly) considered that it was not within the purview of the Supreme Court to rule on it. Basically her view was "if you want it, pass a law" which is the established process for it. She also thought it was a mistake because she saw opinion moving towards passing a law, and that the Supreme Court decision essentially stopped that while people rested on their laurels.

If it's only an issue because he's black, though, it's not the job of the MRM to solve it for him, and trying to get it to do so opens it up to the kind of idpol subversion AVFM is rejecting here. If it's an issue affecting him because he's a man, skin colour is irrelevant. If it's an issue affecting him because of skin colour, him being a man is irrelevant.

Then literally every man ever would have a financial abortion. You do understand that parental surrender also includes signing away all your rights, yes? That the vast majority of guys whose wives are pregnant actually want to be a father, yes? What happens when the baby is born is irrelevant to abortion options during pregnancy. Are you trying to argue that consideration of the future situation has no relevance to the way people make decisions in the present? Man I'd hate to be you. Or maybe I …

I'm not aware of any men who have died or become seriously injured as a result of becoming a father when they didn't want to be? Plenty of men have committed suicide due to being forced to work a job they hated to provide for children they didn't want, but since that's an indirect thing and they could just have kept suffering for the rest of their lives I guess that's fine by you.

Do you sometimes feel bad after watching porn? No because I don't. The porn industry is awful and subversive and exploitative and I don't care for it. If you feel bad about watching porn, the solution is to stop doing it not to try and mollify your conscience. knowing men can't do anything about it and has to use their products Lying to cover your own weakness isn't a good look.

She has noticed that men who support each other through difficulties often form strong bonds and will help each other out where they can. To be "Red pill" is to accept and implement a few core ideas: Firstly, it is always better to engage with reality, even if that reality is uncomfortable or goes against conventional wisdom It is the responsibility of the individual to look out for themselves, and relying on others to define and support your core being is going to leave you ultimately unable to pursue your goals to the extent you want Men and women are different, and have different sexual/relationship strategies There is no value…

Honestly I just want to know the story of the dude in the background. Was it him who threw his belt halfway through? Why isn't he wearing a shirt in the parking garage? Whose mans is this? Why is he applauding at the end? So many questions, so few answers.

Most models don't look conventionally pretty, and femininity has far more to do with your presence and behaviour than how your face looks. I recommend sticking to minimal makeup, and focusing on dressing well and carrying yourself confidently. I wouldn't change anything physical about your appearance, but things like getting your eyebrows shaped if you don't already can help.

If you're at rock bottom you don't need mentoring you need help. Mentoring is for taking things you're already reasonably competent at and elevating them to the next level.
/r/TheRedPill06/06/19 03:37 PM

If you've reached a reasonably advanced stage, spending money on mentoring might actually be worth it for the personal development, but going to a convention like this probably isn't going to do much for that.

Feminists hate MRAs because MRAs challenge their claim to a monopoly on activism. That monopoly is extremely valuable - grants, secure jobs in administration, and political power are all available to the activists. Of course, feminists don't actually use that monopoly to help men and work on their issues, but they have to claim to in order to maintain the monopoly. MRAs threaten this in two ways - first, they call feminists on their bluff by expecting their professed activism for men to actually…

Not all FGM is cutting a girl's clit off, and in a lot of places it's become ritualised to the point of them not actually doing anything massively harmful, but just making a tiny nick in the clitoral hood as a symbolic gesture. Of course, this is (rightfully) just as illegal as the much worse forms, but it leads to the false perception that all places that practice FGM are doing the worst kind, which in turn helps pro-MGM people rationalise their stance of "well you don't have it as bad".
/r/MensRights06/01/19 05:58 PM
39

Cutting off a little boy's finger is okay because it's not as bad as scratching a girl's wrist. Because all forms of FGM are banned and treated as heinous crimes, which includes everything from complete excision of the clitoris all the way to a tiny ritual nick in the hood.

Do whatever you want dude. It's always worth knowing what the consequences of your decisions will be, even if they won't deter you. Nobody here is saying chicks can't get tattoos. Not many are even saying they shouldn't. We're just observing that tattoos on women are red flags.
/r/askTRP04/01/19 12:58 AM
7

there are some cultures where tattoos are a societal thing, And in those cultures, you earn your tattoos. Maori get theirs in a long painful ritual. Soldiers get theirs after going through the crucible together. Sailors got theirs to mark milestones in their career. What did some chick getting a cupcake tattooed on her thigh ever do to earn it?
/r/askTRP04/01/19 12:56 AM

Tattoos originally represented some sort of achievement. They marked various rites of passage, and you earned them. Very few women ever earn theirs. Secondly, they don't necessarily ruin a girl, but they never make her more attractive. Given that she pays money for them, at best it's poor financial decision making and at worst she fucks up her looks. Third, they don't age well. As wrinkles, cellulite, and sagging set in, those tattoos are going to deform and look bad. Similarly, the tattoo itsel…

I’ve had discussions with close female friends about this Congratulations on falling for the oldest trick in the book, listening to what someone says instead of watching what they do. The whole “women desire men with a 6 pack and chiseled biceps” narrative is mostly false. No it isn't. Women do want a guy with abs and large arms. They just recognise that such a guy isn't attainable for most of them. That doesn't mean it's not the ideal.
/r/MensRights02/01/19 11:51 PM

This is a lovely platitude, but it's completely untrue. It's the kind of lie unattractive women tell themselves to shield their ego. It doesn't work for men because women aren't going to compromise their standards no matter what they say. It also promotes the unhealthy idea that men shouldn't aspire to more, to better themselves. You can be lean, muscular, and healthy no matter what your height.

It's absolutely fine to have any criteria on your dating list, so long as you accept the consequences and align your expectations accordingly. Wanting a 6'6" man who makes 7 figures as a 3/10 NEET is fine as long as you don't expect him to be interested. That same man wanting a virgin wife without tattoos or daddy issues is less unrealistic, but the low number of them nowadays similarly limits his options, and him being upset he can't find them at a nightclub would be ridiculous. Also, if you de…

It entirely depends on what you're actually wanting a therapist for. Half of the stuff people go to therapists to see, they don't actually need a therapist they just need to get outside and do some strenuous team exercise with a group of other men. Half of the rest are seeing the wrong kind of therapist.

Using those tactics back at them does not destroy the right anymore than it's already being destroyed. True. But it destroys you to use them, and you as an individual are more important to keep healthy than "the right" as though that's actually a meaningful thing.

Adopting the tactics of the left to destroy them is not blue pilled. Yes it is, because the tactics of the left are inherently destructive to yourself as well. The only way you can constructively use leftist tactics is to encourage already-beta males to use them in a guerilla campaign rather than engaging in them yourself.

Firstly, the new to TRP are absolutely no threat to the long-time contributors. A skinnyfat DYEL with no game and soyface vs someone who permanently cosplays Joseph Joestar isn't even wasting neurons thinking about. Second, the actual number of people being redpilled is still relatively miniscule, so there's no risk of flooding the market. I could personally teach thousands of guys and there would still be more than enough pussy to go round. You can't form a männerbund with unworthy men. Third, …

Tattoos fit the bill for all three of those. They fit the bill for art and fashion, but not beauty. A tattoo on its own can be a piece of art, but at best it doesn't impact the beauty of the woman it's on, and at worst it lowers it. Tattoos actively reduce beauty.

Again, I disagree. The optimal strategy for a woman raising children is to have a committed husband who is the highest quality man she can attain. That's hypergamy. She tries to branch swing while in a happy marriage because she sees someone better and wants to try for his commitment. AF/BB comes into play when she can't get the commitment of a man of sufficient genetic quality, but it's not the optimal strategy. The optimal strategy is having a man with both genetic fitness and resources to pro…

Practice and discipline. You can't "be mindful" of something all the time because actively remembering takes focus away from other things. You have to drill it into yourself until it becomes unconscious. At the moment, a woman shit-tests you, you consciously recognise it for what it is, you decide to agree and amplify to beat it, and you pass. The two middle stages aren't things that happen with me any more. It's just reflex.

That you want to "get rich" tells me you're still stuck in the mindset of money being everything. All you need is enough money to be comfortable. As long as you have that, there's no point working instead of doing something you enjoy. There are a bunch of observations about how men and women interact. /TheRedPill uses these observations to try and get the best outcome for them, an individual man. /RedPillWomen uses these observations to try and get the best outcome for them, an individual woman. Obviously the desired outcome in each case will be different, because men and women are different. So first off differentiating "women" and "normal people" isn't something you should be doing because the mindset is completely wrong. Women should be treated like women, and that is normal. The point is that when you talk to someone "like a normal person" you care about their words. What they say has value to you and you can be affected by it. When you're talking to a child, none of what you say actually matters, and the words used aren't as important as the emotional message being conveyed. A c…

I don't patronise kids. They're intelligent enough to be talked to like adults as long as you don't use too many big words. unique Lol There's literally nothing unique about a girl trying to make you overthink (and your responses definitely does that). I'd reply "I'm looking for my seoul mate" because the opportunity for a truly terrible pun should never be passed up. If you're not quite that brave, just tell her "maybe, but I'm talking to you right now." It's short and to the point, and it lets her know that you'll go look elsewhere if she doesn't put up.

An expensive wedding is designed to be as wasteful as possible. The entire point is to show off how many resources you can afford to waste on something ultimately fruitless as a display of having those excess resources, which is itself a display of evolutionary fitness in the shape of having those resources to waste in the first place. Look up peacock genes and the "handicap principle" for a similar idea.

You don't have to give up video games, just recognise that they can be a time sink and plan accordingly. I still hop on counterstrike once a week or so with some friends - it's a great way to spend some time chatting with people I otherwise couldn't due to geographical distance whilst unwinding from a long day. The key is not to game just because you're bored. If you're bored there's probably something else you can be doing, like learning a new skill or reading to expand your mind. Use gaming as…

Because they have short attention spans. Also because after 8 hours without contact, it doesn't matter how much fun they had with you the previous evening, the feeling will have faded since then. You're no longer as fun as whatever is in front of her right that moment (likely whoever she actually went home with) so she's not as interested.

I find the notion of people being here "because they're outcasts who always had trouble with women" to be laughable. I mean, most of the lurkers here probably are. But isn't that the point - that if they were already successful with women, they wouldn't be here. Apparently they should be shamed for trying to improve their lot in life.

Because if she genuinely believed it at the time there's no intent, so it's not a crime. Of course, it's extremely difficult to prove intent in any case like this, doubly so in one fifteen years old. That means that not only can you not, you also should not prosecute her.

Your husband is not RP. Let me reiterate - this is not what TRP is about. Guys like him are actually more annoying to me than people who oppose TRP, because guys like him have the knowledge to do things right and aren't. The basic process - that is, simply laying the groundwork, unplugging, and getting your headspace sorted - takes at least six months, probably a year to fully come into effect. In terms of overall societal wellbeing, casual sex is bad. In terms of psychological effects on an individual, casual sex reduces a woman's ability to pair-bond (and unless men all start dating men, this rolls over into relationships), and as such is bad for anyone who wants a relationship beyond plating them - and of course, plating reinforces the cycle. However, in the current culture, LTRs just aren't worth it for me, so I don't engage in them. Everyone else can go be virtuous, I'm getting my…

Saying the youthful never listen is like saying parenting doesn't matter. Hardly. After someone looks back and goes "oh yeah that was dumb" they'll say one of two things. The first is "I guess I should have listened to dad" and the second is "but I was never told otherwise". How they go forward from there depends largely on which of those two things they say. befriending women without the motive of gaming them leads to different outcomes The only difference between befriending and gaming a woman is that if you befriend her you don't get to fuck her. All you're doing is trying to justify not trying in the fist place.

PUA has moved on from mystery method. The issue with canned openers is that as soon as things go off-script you're screwed. Instead, you should be using those pre-made scripts as a springboard to develop your own social style and skills, so that when something unexpected happens, you're able to take it in your stride. You want people to constantly be asking themselves this question.

There is more than one kind of status. Looks, money, game, social proof, and boredom all contribute in this instance. Sure, the guy is ripped and tall. Is his game on point? most of the decisions involving abortion legislation are made by male politicians. So? If you see this as an issue, you're claiming that they all lack basic human empathy and critical thinking skills. Their real issue isn't that it's men, it's that they aren't making decisions the activists want. They'd be just as annoyed if it was a room full of women saying the same thing - which would be perfectly doable, as ~50% of women are "pro-life".
/r/MensRights05/05/17 07:20 AM
11

Isn't this regarding Women's reproduction/reproductive rights/activism? Yes. It's still stupid for two reasons: It completely ignores the diversity of opinions that they're so keen on in other spaces The same logic isn't applied elsewhere because it would shut them out - it's clearly only used to shut down men

It's referring to the fact that sometimes people don't behave in the way that is best for them. For example, a woman jumping on the cock carousel. She is free to do so, but if she does it without understanding the consequences (which pretty much none of them do until it's too late), she will fuck up her prospects. Obviously, you don't enjoy seeing your sister/daughter ruining her own prospects.

Circumcision reduces risk of urinary tact infections and helps prevent balanoposthitis and phimosis. Similarly, flaying can help reduce the incidence of skin cancer. Also, what? You don't circumcise someone because they might have phimosis - if they do, they can make the decision and be no worse off if they decide to get it done. That is not in any way an argument for routine circumcision at birth. Circumcision as a medical necessity is a completely different case, and that's for the patient to …

I haven't heard this in my own experience. That's one for each, then. Men could join up and fight for the same rights Or men could not join up and fight for their rights in the ways they see fit, rather than being dictated to what they can and cannot say or do.

"Mutilation" is a deliberate exaggeration No, it's quite literally the definition. We should be able to have productive conversations without attacking people. Downvotes are not attacks. /r/MensRights12/03/17 12:00 AM

in what way does criticizing the women's choice movement benefit the circumcision choice movement? It's not criticising. /r/MensRights11/03/17 11:39 PM

Given the increasing numbers of single motherhood in the US, there is frequently no father in the picture to have a say otherwise. Then there's the fact that if the mother wants it and the father doesn't, she can just get it done anyway. It is far more difficult for a father to get it performed without the mother's consent.

Women test men instinctively because they need to know if he's a capable enough man to look after them and their kids. When a woman controls a man, he has shown his incompetence. That's why she hates it when she succeeds - she wants her man to pass her tests, but she still has to administer the tests for him to pass in the first place and risk him failing because otherwise she wouldn't know, which is worse.

There is nothing better than a hot girlfriend with an IUD and no STD's. Condom's become obsolete! There are some ways to get pretty close to a winning situation haha Of course there is. There's being secure enough in yourself that you don't seek the validation of strangers over the internet.

No, because there's no guilt there.

No, the ideal RP relationship involves as many women as possible in a harem, kept in a stand-alone building in your palace grounds, and tended by eunuchs (or nu-males, it's the same thing).

Pledging yourself to one woman is stupid because at the end of the day, no matter how NAWALT she is, AWALT and familiarity breeds laziness. With multiple relationships the women never lose that competitive edge.

There's something exciting about the hunt when you're single, but nothing is better than the hunt when you're allegedly in a relationship.

the ones that are true MGTOW won't be entering the discussions about MGTOW, nor will they be complaining. Also no MGTOW are Scottish.

A man must have a period in his life where he willingly abstains from women, so that he knows it's nothing to fear and it can never be held over him. Too many MGTOW are afraid of going back to reality, so just like a frigid harpy insisting she's a strong woman and that's what's scaring the men off, they flock together to convince themselves that they aren't failures, and that they don't need women. They cover for their inability to attract women with bravado and swagger - and thus never get beyo…

Hell, look at Emma Watson. She speaks about feminism to the UN, then goes home to get railed by her decade-older successful businessman muscular alpha male boyfriend.

where have you got the idea I'm really fat? I didn't say really fat, I said fat. I got that idea because you're admitting to not exercising, which leads to the body getting soft.

I was only trying to be polite by thanking you, I. Don't. Give. A. Shit. Don't be concerned with being polite. In case you hadn't noticed, TRP isn't a place you have to pretend to be nice.

Thanks for your time though. If you're just going to mope you can save your fucking platitudes. I'm not spending my time typing this because I believe in you. I actually think you're going to die a lonely, sad, person. All because you were too weak to do what you had to. Happens to plenty of men, and brother, you're headed that way at a rate of knots. Maybe one day you'll change, but I doubt it. You aren't even willing to argue against me - you just meekly take the abuse like some kind of whippe…

I'm going to speculate here a bit, but I want to see if I've got it right: You fear losing her because you don't think you can get what she gave you again You don't think you can get what she gave you again because you're not particularly attractive Whatever she once gave you, she isn't any more Again, this is because you aren't attractive So basically, the solution to your problem is the following: Become attractive. When you're attractive to her, you'll be attractive to other women too. That'l…

Marriage is not fun at all and I think I've made a terrible mistake You're right. You have made a terrible mistake. You done screwed the pooch and then screwed it again for good measure. You have, objectively, failed. However. There is absolutely no point wallowing in misery - that won't help at all. The question now is what are you going to do about it? You have two options. You can continue to try things that haven't been working. That's called insanity. You can start working to fix things. I …
