Studies on social proof and its effect on attractiveness and mate poaching

Note: all these links are from a Cracked article but I won’t link to them or even to a copy because of how feminized they’ve become.

Study results - direct quotes from the abstracts:

  • Single women were more interested in pursuing an attached target rather than a single target.
  • Paired men reported more opposite-sex interest than paired women, whereas the opposite was true for single respondents. Furthermore, the amount of opposite-sex interest reported by paired men correlated with the attractiveness of their partner, whereas this correlation between partner attractiveness and opposite-sex interest did not hold for female respondents
  • The results suggested that women’s mate choice decision rule is to copy only if a man’s female consort is physically attractive
  • As predicted, partnered women favored attached men at the low-fertility phases of the menstrual cycle, but preferred single men (if masculine, i.e., advertising good genetic quality) when conception risk was high.

TL;DR: Women prefer taken men with attractive partners especially during the low-fertility phase of their cycle.

Since I started using Tinder, I've experimented with using different pictures in my profile to see what ones were the most effective at attracting women. One day I decided to include a picture of me standing next to a hot blonde that I used to date. Almost immediately I started getting more matches from attractive women.

So if you're trying online dating, make sure one of your pictures has you standing next to a beautiful woman. This will instantly give you social value in the eyes of most women.

Good point. If you can't find a 8-10 woman to stand next to you for your profile shot, boats work great as well. In my own Tinder research, high testosterone male activities will make her tingle, especially the activities that are group related, i.e. boating, hunting, motocross, airsoft ... She wants to feel like you are capable of excitement, i.e. hot sex.

This is a great experiment, thanks for the info.

I once had a slim, dark-haired female friend that was pretty fashion conscious. I wasn't attracted to her, but I'd take her out to coffee clubs in my town and it would send all the hamsters into a frenzy over me.

Side note: it seems that hanging out or fucking ugly women harms your SMV in the eyes of other women. Yet another reason not to settle.

Thats why you don't socialize with landwhales.

not being sarcastic here but this is bombshell. its literally up is down, black is white in regards to what comes out of women's mouths

Doesn't matter. None of the science backing up RP is discussed in the mainstream because it doesn't fit the agenda.

Yup. Not just the direct observation but even the remote sense you are with a girl long-term, married and happy, that's who women want to fuck. It just is. If your posture, face & maybe even clothing suggest you have a girlfriend or lots of women on the go, you're automatically more attractive. It's better if you're seen with the social proof but even the hint of it pulls them in.

Especially if they want to cheat on their own boyfriend or husband.

It's just how it is.

Social proof is one of the biggest advantages you can have towards laying/dating girls.

There was this one kid "Tim" that went to my highschool. Although I thought he was a beta bitch and he annoyed the hell out of me, other people really seemed to like him. He knew everyone and was well liked all around (seriously still don't get). When he'd walk by classrooms people would scream his name and interrupt class.

Predictably, this got girls curious as to who he was. Eventually, he ends up dating this one really hot girl and I heard her say a couple of times, "I can't believe I'm dating Tim!".

They dated all throughout HS and went to college together (where he no longer had any social proof). He continued in his beta ways, posting sappy love shit on instagram with her almost every day, tweeting how he loved her, etc., basically making himself look like a little bitch.

Shortly after entering college, she broke up with him and left him heartbroken. You can't really blame her though, once she saw through everything.

Our baser animal nature does not always have our best interest in mind. That goes for women certainly, and it goes for men. However we are not slaves to instinct or momentarily feelings.

When raising your children they should be taught identify and best handle such inclinations which are not in their own long term best interest.
