Though an often mentioned topic here at r/theredpill, there is still not really much context given to what the 80/20 separation really looks like in real life. It can actually be quite surprising how low the bar is set for the average person in the united states today. Now, attractiveness in the SMP is based on many different and varied factors that are not always tied to physical attractiveness, however we can all agree that being an aesthetic human being is a large part to regular success with high value women.

There is a reason that lifting and exercising are championed here as much as they are. Just going and working out a few times a week with real intensity puts you ahead of a vast majority of adults in america today. That is so to speak, ascending into the metaphorical and literal top 20%.

However, I think its often difficult for those who have swallowed the pill to know or envision what it looks like once they have made it to that upper echelon of men. My curiosity compelled me to start doing some research on the topic based on a very critical component of attractiveness: body fat percentage. Now I understand that this is only one factor blah blah blah go complain about that shit somewhere else. This post it meant to just give some perspective to what little effort it can take to propel you above your plugged in peers.

I sourced a document published by the CDC on body mass and body fat mass that also includes a ridiculous amount of data even separated by race and ethnicity. You can find it here:

http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/series/sr_11/sr11_250.pdf

(compare data from pages 8 and 10. The numbers are mass in Kg so you need to do basic division)

Even though the data is from 1999-2004, what I found was extremely surprising. The average person in america has a bar so low for their health, I was legitimately appalled. The interesting and encouraging part of it though related to the body fat percentages of males age 20-39, no doubt the target demographic of this subreddit. What I found was that in order to be in the top 20% of male 20-39 year olds in america, you only had to be almost 21% body fat or less. The top 10%, was about 18% or less. And the top 5% you ask? well just a few tenths of a percent below 17% body fat.

This post should leave you with the thought that you can in fact become a 20% man, and its actually easier than you may have expected. This should not be an excuse to slack off on your progress, the real competition that keeps you going will be to crack the top 20% as an overall red pill man. As I said above, body fat and fitness is only one factor, you will still be unattractive as fuck even with 5% body fat if you are a goober and social mess. So remember, drop the twinkies, flush your bon bons down the toilet and go repeatedly lift heavy things!
