I always hear this term around the manosphere, ie the commonly repeated trope about how women fuck bad boy alphas in their prime and then settle down with a "stable beta provider" when they get older. But I'm just wondering, is there any such thing as an "alpha provider"? It's often said that women want men who are protectors and providers. Why do we never hear about "beta protectors"? Or would a "beta protector" be the equivalent of a "white knight"?

Also, why do we never hear about "beta bad boys"? There must be some, right?
