Like many of us, I've been friend zoned a few times. I've long been aware of the dynamics so not as much as some men, but still, I've found myself in that situation. The most painful one I experienced when I was extremely weak.

I had met that girl I wasn't particularly interested in, but while I was in a severe bout of depression she casually invited me to go out. Since I was feeling really down I took her up on the offer to just get out of the fucking house. I opened up about my issues and, as you can imagine, that guaranteed I would never do anything with her. She was really sympathetic, nurturing and supportive. Well I couldn't help fall in love with a girl who was so nice to me, yet knowing full well that was completely, absolutely hopeless because of how it started. Long story short, I took her out, invited her to parties, where she fucked my best friend, and so on. Oh and to top it off she's now in a lesbian relationship (serious one, it's been years). Talk about emasculating.

Now I have a really great female friend. She's really hot. I was never interested in her, for some reason, she's more of a buddy. She also slept with my best friend, and I only care about it because they now can't see each other. I fix her computer, the kind of shit I never do for a girl as a matter of principle, but in return she helps in kind even though I don't ask for shit, like a good buddy would.

Well what's the hamstering I'm talking about? It's that the women who friend zone you claim they want to be friends and are just not interested in you sexually. In truth it's not even friendship from their point of view, they also want to keep your attention to themselves and actively cut your balls off. My good friend invites me to parties, always introduces me to her friends, and is glad to see me hooking up ("what's her name? did you get her number?"). The other girl never invited me to a party or introduced me to her single friends. She was perfectly fine with me being unhappy while the other one is genuinely worried when I am.
