I was watching an interview with Christopher Hitchens about his memoir, when he was asked about the circumstances surrounding his mother's suicide. It's facinating to me just how deeply important it is for a woman to be entertained. His mother met a man who in contrast to her husband was able to keep her excited, which satisfied such a visceral need she was willing to follow this man into the grave. Admittedly, this is an extreme example, but I am convinced the principle is universal. Above all else, women value a man who makes them feel alive. In this case, even above life itself.
