People remember the first and last of a series best. This goes for the series of memories they have of you. People have been posting about the importance of a good first impression of late, and I would like to add to the conversation by saying their most recent impression/memory of you is just as important.

Leave and say goodbye to people on good terms. Make the end of a date the best part. Make their last memory of you good, because they will remember if it wasn't. This obviously means a bit more effort, because a first impression only happens once, whereas their last memory of you is updated every time they see you.

Lesson Learned:

First and last impressions are the most important, people don't remember the middle part because there is too damn much of it.
