It does not seem like TRP leaves room for such an emotionally connective emotion like love. Most of the things I have learned here have been about enforcing boundaries and similar things that shields one off instead of opening one up.

I am but a senior in college, so my opinion on the matter is clearly a bit elementary... but my longest relationship was on and off for three years from high school into college and resulted in me being much more shielded off emotionally because of the break-up.

So I do think that I am more emotionally unavailable than most people, which I think does translate into more girls being interested in me. However, is this something that we as a community view as good or something that we work on?

Is emotional openness and the search for women to love contradictory to TRP teachings? How open are you guys with the plates that you spin? How much of your interaction with girls that you hookup with is strictly sexual and how much is emotional?

Disclaimer: My thoughts on emotions in general is that they are guidelines for how one should behave. Sometimes your emotions are correct, sometimes they are wrong... but the use of logic and thought is able to override these emotions, if need be, and make the right decisions. I am not of the school of thought that men should act like they do not feel emotions.
